No under barrel grenade launcher? Why do they hate our brave heroes so much?

-
- Censor all personally identifiable information in posts including serial numbers on firearms.

- Any post or comment advocating illegal action will be removed and the poster warned. A second infraction will result in a ban.

-
- Discussion of hunting is acceptable but please put "CW: hunting" in post titles. Debating the ethicality of hunting is also fine, but keep it civil and don't derail other people's threads.
We were able to purchase this equipment by pulling from different funding sources which avoided any direct cost to our taxpayers.
Uh huh, and exactly what might those sources be? It wouldn't happen to be from bribes, would it? Or maybe civil asset forfeiture?
Anything the police buy SHOULD be paid for by taxpayers, if they're a 'Public Service' they should be paid with public money and like any other government job have any private funding be banned. If we're gonna have a police force I'd rather it not be semi privatized.
Absolutely correct. The reality is that the money they're referring to was straight-up stolen from random civilians. Any time they say something wasn't paid for by tax payers, that means it was funded entirely by civil asset forfeiture.
If it wasn't it would have to be private donations and neither should be acceptable. The cops should have exactly what elected officials deem they should have.
Sweetie, they need a 3 grand handgun to mag dump very quickly on black teenagers running away.
Actually, this is harm reduction because 1911’s use single stack magazines, so the pigs magdumping end up firing less bullets
Unfortunately this is a "2011" which is double stack
Ah, so you need enormous hands to hold it.
It's Harm Reduction.
$2500 to keep the community safer with an advanced gun? Does it come with a "Chill out bro, that was an fuckin' acorn" sensor or something?
It has an additional 20% bonus chance of accidentally discharging while pointing at the officer's own genitals
What funding sources do the police have that doesn't come from taxpayers? Unless it was direct donations of guns, it's still a funding source that could have offset other costs, right?
Civil forfeiture, 100%
No direct cost to taxpayers, I wouldn't put it past them to pull some shit like borrowing the money from a third party (who just happens to be the chief's cousin), then using the taxpayer funds to pay back the borrowed money (with a steep interest rate). The purchase only used taxpayer funds indirectly, the third party gets a nice chunk of said taxpayer money, and the department gets to put out this little bit of feel-goodery propaganda. Everybody wins!
Any money spent by the police should be strictly taxpayer funded and they should have to account for every cent. If there's going to be police there should be absolutely no way of them taking money from any source BUT the government.
But if I'm rich, how else am I supposed to get preferential treatment, and the odd 'look the other way' behavior?
STI had such a bad time they left the USPSA market segment where their guns would get the shit beaten out of them and sent back after 100k rounds for warranty work (lifetime warranty).
They pivoted to the Tactical market where the guns would be shot like 100 rounds total and sit in a holster for 10 years and never get sent back for warranty work
Really? I still hear them being mentioned as the premier race gun. But it seems that CZ Shadow is… overshadowing them.
Really? I still hear them being mentioned as the premier race gun.
I'm sorry but no, they're not Infinity and never were
God. Even ignoring the ACAB aspect, they’re ruining the aesthetic appeal of the gun with all that tacticool shit. Gotta make everything ugly.
All guns should be ugly to discourage people from being weird about them.
EDIT: although tacticool freaks probably like the way this looks
except for mine they should look sick as fuck
Only comrades should be allowed to have the cool looking ones, since they are they only ones who can be trusted with them
I know.
What funding sources? If their gun money isn't coming from a public fund then they shouldn't be getting gun money. The fucking POLICE shouldn't be allowed to have mo ey that doesn't come from tax payers.
Lol there are definitely nonprofits that exist to buy firearms dogs etc for the local police it's hilarious (and it works ofc)
Literally the basics of having a government is to make sure you have monopoly on the police and military. Way to fuck that up
That post feels like they’re also being paid to post about their new guns
Every day I am further convinced that fascism is an ideology for overgrown 8-year-old boys.
they have cute little stars on their big boy pistols 🥰
The "TWO WORLD WARS" crowd and fetishizing an overpriced and outdated handgun, fascism truly is about aesthetics and money for the bourgeoisie.
Neat, a slightly more portable version of that greebly tacticool shit that AR-15s typically become.
It should be illegal for Ontario, CA to exist when there's already an Ontario, CA... just not in America.
I was gonna say; what the fuck is the Ontario PD
This manages to be even more sinister than the usual firing half the kindergarten teachers so the pigs can get a new fusball table.
Looks like something you'd unlock from the bounty broker in state of decay for killing 5 ferals with a handgun, only to leave in the locker because it's too heavy for your marathon survivor.
Ahh California, I wonder what your priorities are?
-
The infamous cost of living problem? Nope!
-
Maybe building more housing? Some infrastructure too while they’re at it? Nah!
-
could it be finishing the job on making California the first region of the US with universal healthcare? Nuh-uh.
-
Oh, is it possibly restoring the UC system as a public good and not another investment vehicle? Not even close.
-
Alright, then perhaps it might be making California more climate resilient. Some renewables? Grow a green economy? Help clean up water and air? Not that.
-
Hmm, then could it be making good on California’s brand of being socially progressive? There’s a lot of inequality between ethnic groups and religions that need to be reconciled. Sorry, keep guessing.
-
Aha, then it MUST be finishing the high speed rail they keep kicking their feet around since 2008!?! Wrong!
Oh…right..some thumbs need new toys to play soldier with.
I thought Ontario is Canada
I looked it up, and it turns out they were referring to a town called “Ontario” in California.
