the number of people who get massively sick in the summer, take one rapid test, get a negative, and declare they DEFINITELY don't have covid is enough for me to not believe any non masker about this shit

the tests have a 20% chance of giving you a false negative in the best case scenario
on average it's more like 35%
Agreed, they do the bare minimum and then pat themselves on the back while going to a packed nightclub.
I have either never had covid or (more likely) wasn't symptomatic. I haven't had a regular cold for like this whole time.
I wear masks every time I am in public though and always will from now on.
Yep, I had one mild case of covid in 2023, and since 2019 ive had two colds? I used to get a cold like three times a year. I'm wearing this mask forever if it means I'm sick almost never now!
There are lots of lucky people out there, but no one lives forever.
My family is full of people who appear immune. My sister will wear a mask when flying, in healthcare settings or otherwise when requested but nowhere else. She's had countless direct exposures, including when her partner gets it and has never shown any symptoms. My grandparents all take zero precautions and live in group homes and yet have never had it. My mom does take precautions but wasn't thaaat careful when my dad had it (they live together) and never showed symptoms.
Simce they're close family I know for a fact they've never shown symptoms and aren't getting sick. Idk what to think
There is research out there that indicates some people have a quasi-immunity. I’m not sure the prevalence of it. I haven’t read anything about these types of individuals being asymptomatic spreaders or not. Must be nice though.
if ur receptors are the right shape it just never gets in
They said, “Yeah my son and my wife had it in 2022, but thankfully I’ve never had it.”
The two times we've gotten a positive test over in my house, it's an automatic assumption that the whole family has contracted it (especially since tests are so overpriced). People are so blasé over a pretty serious illness these days, it's exhausting.
"You have to be lucky every time. The wolf only has to be lucky once."
Wow
That a whole lot of covid spread is asymptomatic, which doesn't mean the virus isn't harming you now or down the line.
Most of them are lying, either because they were asymptomatic or because they just refuse to ever admit it.
