Lmao I thought the same thing. Russell Crowe = Gabe Newell. It's been a conspiracy the whole time

Me at 21 vs Me in my late 30s after my equilibrium dies and over 10 years of office/tech sector work without changing my 20-something diet - after changing my diet to rabbit food and adding exercise, yoga, and regular hiking trips and finally managing to lose some of the initial weight gain.

after my equilibrium dies

Metabolism?

Whoops...yes. But to be fair, my equilibrium sucks too.

It's criminal that Master and Commander never had more films.

I hope some aspiring filmmaker decides to give all 21.3 books a proper film treatment. It’s some of the greatest historical fiction ever.

To see the wreck of the Waakzaamheid in IMAX would be tremendous

He came into the guitar shop I worked at to buy a Les Paul Jr for a crew member who was working on a movie with him. Nice guy.

Good thing you sold guitars and not phones!

I'm getting paid 5 million dollars to hit weight versus I have many many millions of dollars in the bank

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, on this beer, in this life or the next.

Tbh I'm just sad that as a society we don't accept aging. It would be so much easier if we didn't fight it. So she looks like she's 60 years, so what, she is 60 years old (I'm assuming lol). Whether I look like her or Tom Cruise at their age, I want to not care. I want to be happy. Who needs to look that good at 60? The only people you should be trying to attract at that age are similarly aged people

I wasn't that much lighter at 21, but all the shit was further up, and maybe muscles instead of fat. Good ol' lifting days. Shouldn't have stopped training and continue eating lol

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Maybe this is a good reason not to start drinking again lol.

Old timers. At what point does my body stop doing what I want it to.

Like what's the last age I can be to get in great shape? 35?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

It only depends on what you eat, not your age.

And if you do maybe 3 sets of 30 push-ups every 2-3 days for 15 mins, you will have muscular arms at age 50 or more.

It's not even hard once you get used to it. Muscles help burn food as well, so it's a win win.

People think they need to go to the gym. It's not so at all.

Somehow started a calisthenics community on my instance a few days ago. If you want to get fit, you can ask the mod there also.

I would like to think that the pic of the right is him prepping for his character in Man with Iron Fists. His character in there is... he's something.
