I never really understood the appeal of putting data centers in the ocean to cool them. A location near a lake or river seemed much more optimal in terms of maintenance. I didn't consider the possibility of attaching it to a windmill. It makes a lot more sense that way, although I do wonder how large those advantages are.

I also haven't heard anything about Microsoft's plans to use SMR's to power their datacenters anymore. I wonder what happened with that.
