Be on topic: Posts should be about free software and other hacktivst struggles. Topics about general tech news should be in the technology comm or programming comm. That doesn't mean all posts have to be serious though, memes are welcome!

Avoid being confrontational: People are in different stages of liberating their computing, focus on informing rather than accusing. Debatebro nonsense is not tolerated.

I'm looking for a PDF filler tool with a signature option (hexbear.net)

I have to fill in some forms and email it but the forms are a xerox of a file, saved as a PDF. So, most PDF reader and fillers are unable to recognize I'm trying to type on the document. I also need to provide a signature on the document but it's doesn't have to be a certified signature( I ran into this with adobe). Anyone know of any good software to use?

I had some luck with master pdf editor 5 but it gave the file a watermark that I had remove with libre office, and I still couldn't sign it.

Xournal++ is my recommendation. It can annotate any pdf pretty easily. Just import the pdf, sign it, then export as pdf

You can use libreoffice draw for basic edits. Why not try out KDE Okular for PDF signing?

I tried out Okular but it required an online certificate for signatures

yeah there's stuff built into the PDF format for doing signatures like, securely, but if you just need to draw on the PDF, not provide a verifiable electronic signature, then that should be easier. I've also mostly used Xournal++ for this sort of thing, you can draw or type over the pdf just fine.

I believe Firefox can do everything you ask. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/pdf-editor/
