Would have been really cool if your older saves could be hosted by your PC. So GoG keeps the latest 200MB save in cloud but links your computers to the save on your current computer.

Just download the saves and put them on your own computer...?

No, if GoG serves as a "router" for the files on your computer. You can have 200mb in gog cloud, but if you have a save on your home computer, you could use GoG to directly connect to your home computer and download saves directly from there. GoG serving to establish the file transfer connection, and your hardware serving as storage.

Is this sarcasm or does GOG really only use cloud saves and doesn't just back up the local saves to the cloud? 🤨

No Sarcasm. And GoG backs up your local saves to the cloud. But going forwards each game has only 200MB, and the most recent saves get uploaded.

RIP my old Witcher 3 saves.

That's what I'm worried about which is ironic since the only game that probably breaks their limit (that I have) is the game they made

Yeah...... My Cyberpunk saves apparently total just over a 1GB 😅

My largest single DSP file size is about 300MB, and that's small compared to some people who have CPUs that can handle the end-game grind. Or just use sails, because they're apparently an unoptimized mess.

I'm thinking of my Bard's Tale C=64 saves which easily fit on a 160k floppy.
