Milotic is a really unfun pokemon to get, the evolving part was actually cool but the fishing is truly stupid. I ended up cheating only for that pokemon.

AMD passed on every single chance to get market share back by charging reasonable prices, they are more than happy to increase prices whenever Nvidia does

Agreed, TotalBicuit has a really good video on the difference between roguelike and roguelite

Remember when he tried to discuss a trade deal with Merkel? And she is like "uh, that's not how it works"

Before anyone says it, I already have Fedora in another drive (which I will remove to install windows, dont worry) so no need to suggest linux.

Basically the last time I tried 24H2 was earlier this year from a forced update and it sucked balls, major performance issues in most games. I heard that a fresh install could fix this but I really couldnt be bothered so I reverted and blocked updates. But now thanks to my shitty chinese NVME that died with 30TBW with 2 years of use, I have an opportunity to install windows fresh. Should I even try 24H2 again? Better to install 23H2 offline and block feature updates again?

Turns out that putting a 50% tariff on the biggest coffee producer in the world (to try to interfere with Bolsonaro's trial) raises the price of coffee, who would've thunk

So I've been googling to find out what to buy for a jellyfin/game server and the problem is almost all posts are about buying hardware in the US or EU. I checked the second hand market and it SUCKS around here, like 10 year old+ CPUs being sold as 'intel i7' for stupid prices.

I've decided to buy new stuff, at least I get warranty. When I searched around for info on that I also got a lot of useless (for me) advice like buying mini pcs that are either not available around here or very expensive. Basically I think I just need to build something myself using non server hardware, is that a bad idea?

What I have in mind right now, please tell me if there is anything that will cause issues later:

  • i5-12400 (mainly for the integrated graphics to use jellyfin's hardware transcoding. Is the UHD 730 enough for that?)

  • No idea what to get for MB, I usually buy AMD. H610 boards seem cheap enough but very limited on storage options (sometimes only a single pcie slot even), I do want to eventually add lots of storage to it.

  • Server quality storage is extremely expensive, not sure if its worth buying. Was think about getting some WD blue 2tb drives, but really not sure here either.

  • For case I saw some suggestion for cases with a ton of hotswappable drive bays but sadly I couldnt find any to buy in my country, will probably get whatever cheap one I can find.

  • PSU I want to get any gold PSU with low wattage from a reputable brand but its been hard to find 500W or lower here, usually shops only offer brand PSUs that are 650W+.

  • 16gb of any decent ram I suppose?

Btw I live in Brazil, if you feel like searching around even tho the websites are in portuguese:
www.kabum.com.br
www.pichau.com.br
www.terabyteshop.com.br

Any help is appreciated, its gonna be my first server so I have no idea what I'm doing

Pretty much all games in this showcase are coming to pc. These days I get more excited about indie games than anything AAA.

Hey guys, after 2 years since my last attempt (and recently trying fedora on my laptop) Im ready to try again to install it on my desktop. First time I installed Nobara and it nuked my windows boots partition which caused a lot of trouble and trauma (couldnt boot into windows no matter what). Basically I want to accomplish this:

1- I want to install Fedora on a separate drive and keep my windows drive completely intact (Need it for work).
2- Preferably I would like GRUB to ask which boot option I want to use if my linux drive is set to be my boot drive and to boot straight to windows if its my windows drive set to boot.

Can someone please guide me into installing it the safest way possible?

With that price I feel like the dev has 0 faith in lemmy getting very big and feels like they need to capitalize on the currently few users to make back costs. I mean, not even an early access price considering its in beta still

It's weird, for the past few weeks I've been trying to switch from reddit to lemmy but something wasn't quite there... I couldn't tell what but I tried all sorts of apps and even the old.reddit style lemmy. After finding this app I can finally say I feel 0 reason to go back to reddit, great work! Kinda dumb but I decided my first post had to be about it since this is the reason for me to be on lemmy now. Also, is it just me or does it adapt to ultrawide resolutions? I've never dreamed to have a better experience browsing on ultrawide but here we are!
