Who would attack a 911 hero?
post
First Rick Moranis, and now Steve Buscemi? This is so sad.
I wonder how often this must happen to non-famous people that don't make the news too.
Rick Moranis hasn't been famous in decades. And given that he was attacked from behind, its unlikely the attacker knew him. Just some guy lashing out randomly for who even knows what reason.

NYC has one of the highest police budget's per-capita in the world and Manhattan is one of the most densely surveilled places in the country. I have to assume if cops are too busy crushing candy on their phones, this sort of thing is regular and they don't give a shit.
I learned today that the NYPD is as large as the entire Australian military.
Fucking nihilists
As I understand, Mr Buscemi found himself on 9/11 day near his old fire station, and helped out his old crew tirelessly.
I don't need that to be true. Steve Buscemi is a nice guy and doesn't deserve that shit.
Not that there’s a good reason for ever doing this, but why did this person punch him at all?
Probably mental illness.
I hope it wasn’t Phil Leotardo
This isn’t the first time he’s been attacked.
My bad, I was smacked on glue and didn't know it was Steve. Live and learn, am I right
with an eye injury
How could they tell?
Humanity needs some major help. Violence like this is never okay. I hope the authorities are able to figure out who did it, catch them, and get them the help they very much need.
Edit: Clarified with different languages since some of my original word choices carried unintended meaning.
What exactly is this comment suggesting? It seems like a coward's way to call for violence using ambiguous but still incendiary language.
