Haven't used mac OS in a while but I liked it in 2018. Being based on UNIX I preferred it to windows. Also their in-house RISC chips are really impressive.

I used to like iPhones because they lasted longer and were easy to replace the screens on. They also were an easy way to partially degoogle and are more privacy focused by default. Now it’s just momentum. I’m more familiar with Apple stuff I guess. I couldn’t care less about the fanboys or the cult of personality or the brand loyalists.

I got a refurbished 2016 MBP about 2 years ago, and I gotta say I really like the build quality, even if the software is whatever. I have a similar take on iPhone, but iOS is a huge deal breaker. I'm not that much into android, but it feels way better to use.

I mean we all got preferences but yeah I never liked apple. Except the IIGS. Playing Oregon Trail and naming all my party members after my idiot friends so I could be like "yo pat you drowned while fording a river" across the computer lab. Cherished memories. Sorry about the dysentery, Dan, but the pace is set to grueling and the only breaks we're taking is when I shoot everything that moves and leave all the meat behind.

Windows phone was the only smartphone os that didn’t completely suck. Of those remaining, I much prefer iOS to Android. Windows is far worse than macOS, I use it on my gaming pc, OS X on my laptop, and Linux for my SBCs and random computers. It comes down to not which is good, but which sucks the least.

the fact that people treat them as disposable has led to free laptops for me on more than one occasion.

I’m pretty agnostic on them. I have an iPhone and it works fine for my purposes which are pretty basic. I also don’t mind android

I’ve basically only had apple products and I feel trapped. My phone is too new to abort (it was bought against my will), and my music and photo libraries are too big.
