Proselytize Religion

Did some chit chat with ChatGPT on religion.

Came on the conclusion that freedom of religion grants the right to follow whatever belief they want as long as it's not causing significant damage to society and it doesn't undermine other fundamental rights. Which gives room for religions to flourish which do not do any immediate harm but as more people join in it start putting burden on society's resources without returning any real value.

I would be extremely cautious of anything chatgpt has to say on the matter.

It’ll make shit up just to give you an answer, and in any case this will be getting into the weeds of its training data.

Remember, it’s also what protects your right to not believe. It’s imperfect, but history is replete with conflict because of belief- or the lack of it. The Bolshevik’s rise to power comes immediately to mind

If we want to worry about putting a burden on society's resources, maybe we should start with, say, the Nestle corporation before we worry about some cult with 10 people in it?

It’s now forbidden to believe that Star Trek is not good? Also what burden, and why do you believe (ironic isn’t it?) that people have a duty to return anything or have a value? How do you compute this value?

Only if you want me to ban you from Ten Forward!

(Just kidding, you can hate Star trek and still go to Ten Forward, you'll just be a weirdo.)
