KKSHH I have infiltrated the lemmygrad. Hexbear is back, but they won't be getting rid of me that easily. Over.
I feel lucky that by funny coincidence I created a backup alt on here a few days ago. I thought I probably wouldn't even use it and now I already have before the week was over.

We're like 99% ML but sometimes have other tendencies requesting accounts, as well as newbies. We usually let them in since they are a tiny minority, but whether they end up using their account is not always decided.
I see way too many anarchist memes and ideas in general for hexbear to be a 99% ML instance.
Well, I mean, in the sense that they're now majority tankie-ish, due to their foreign policy... (it's based, I can attest to that)
If I were to guess, at least 60% are MLs of some kind...

Another big difference: you have to subscribe to communities to post in them
You can post without subscribing. Subscribing only shows the Create Post button in the sidebar. However if you go to https://lemmygrad.ml/create_post , you can select any community there even the ones you are not subscribed to.
What do you mean? I can both create posts and comments without being subscribed to them?
Oh you don't have to do that on hexbear? I don't think it's something we can control from the admin interface, maybe through the database.
