Jeri Ryan made a Mastodon account during the great Twitter migration but sadly doesn't seem to be using it much these days.

Beautiful. Stunning. My jaw is on the floor. It's like a living youtube comment. My entire bingo card is full in one comment.

I literally thought this was satire until I saw the comment about post history. Amazing. No notes. Please keep doing your thing.

I see what you mean. When I said "growing as individuals" I meant it moreso as "learning about ones self", i.e.: Kirk is forced to face and overcome his own racism, Spock faces his own biases when he is let down by the betrayal, etc. But yes if we're talking career advancement, then you're right. They're all basically facing retirement except Sulu and Chekov, really.

Personally speaking that doesn't affect the story at all for me, I think it's up there with TWOK as the best Trek film for it's Soviet Union "end of history" allegories.

Are these people even watching the show?

Honestly? I have to assume not. I think they watch YouTube ""reviews"" of the show instead. At best, I'm sure some of them have it on in the background while they scroll rage bait on their phones.

I think that casual attitude makes sense for someone who has been around for hundred’s of years.

I think it makes sense too, but even if she was only in her 60s... who the hell cares? She gets the job done, she has the respect of her crew, again, who the hell cares? The fact that male characters (who aren't 800 years old mind you) are seldom criticized for doing the same thing should tell you all you need to know.

Saving democracy through experience, cunning, and guile in their golden years all while continuing to grow as individuals isn't enough for ya?

Genuinely curious about your take, it's not something I've seen before.

For me Nemesis falls solidly into the "Not a 'good' movie, but something I can put on literally any time and have fun with it."

As you said, the themes, inasmuch as they exist, are clunky. The story is nonsensical. But the performances are good as always, the sets are good as always, and the presentation (sfx/makeup/etc) are solid as always.

If you want to know about the Breen the only canon resource is DS9 and Discovery season 5.

EDIT: As others mentioned, also Lower Decks!

When I first became aware of it, I did not expect this story to become a good case for worker's rights and ensuring everyone has enough rest but here we are.

Personally I think this is a good response. I hope they stay true to it in the future.

On the contrary it is a big deal, it makes Ake extremely endearing and likeable.

My Kindle Oasis 2017 seems to have broken. I love that it's screen (Seems to be just plain old "Carta" with no numbers) does not need the backlight on to be readable in even pretty dim lighting.

I recently tried a Kobo and couldn't believe how grey the screen was and needed the backlight in all conditions other than daylight.

I would just like to see a comparison between all the screens (Carta 1200, Colorsoft, etc) to try and know how it compares to my old Oasis without having to purchase and return it.

Anyone know of a good comparison site like what I'm describing?
