SteamOS (updated page) (store.steampowered.com)
submitted 4 days ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

SteamOS is Valve’s Linux-based operating system. It features a seamless user experience that's optimized for gaming, while retaining access to the power and flexibility of a PC. SteamOS plays tens of thousands of games on Steam, and we are constantly testing the Steam catalog for SteamOS compatibility. It's an open Linux platform that leaves you in full control, and you can install new software or content as you wish. By default, the Steam Client serves as a user interface and provides connectivity to our Steam online services, but you can still access the standard Linux desktop. Users should not consider SteamOS as a replacement for their desktop operating system.

Technical explanation of why almost all Nintendo 64 games looked so blurry. Kaze Emanuar is an expert in this field and does lot of Romhacks and Mods and creates his own Super Mario 64 games with it. So he is quiet knowledgeable.

Note: I recommend watching the video at 1.4x speed, or at the very minimum at 1.25x speed.

A friend an I just remembered these games existed, and we really enjoyed them when we were younger. Thing is, we don't know of any place to get them on PC, much less where we could get co-op working. Is this a series that can be played co-op on PC? In any way?

Just under 3000-4000 people are required per country in Lithuania, Latvia, Malta and Luxembourg. Come on now... that's a small town and in some places even just a village. Are there really that few gamers in those countries?

Hope: A Sky Full of Ghosts is a sci-fi point-and-click adventure where you, as Agatha Hope, captain a disjointed crew on a stolen spaceship. Your goal? Escaping the corporate tyranny on Earth.

Your decisions and wits will decide the course of the mission, your relationship with the crew and whether you survive or not.

It blends the spirit of old-school point-and-click games with a deep narrative full of character and secrets.

Dialogue choices, puzzles and minigames will help you unravel the ship's secrets and reveal your crew's motives

Our Adventurer Guild is a tactical RPG that puts you in the shoes of the new master of the Adventure Guild. Rebuild this broken down institution by recruiting adventurers, equipping them, and send them on adventures to bring in gold. This is a seriously impressive game, and might be my favorite game from last year.

A solo developer from Koream here. Just finished English version of role playing game as a web/app game - kicking out unreasonable AI customers in real-time chat. I'd be truly grateful if you checked it out and would love to hear any thoughts or ideas you might have! https://jinsang.app/en/

They say it's a "Remaster" but it's clearly a remake (yeah, I know, there's generally some controversy surrounding the terms).

Oblivion was (aside from Morrowind and, I guess, Daggerfall) one of the best games I've ever played and I sunk more hours into it than Skyrim, which I only sunk into for two weeks (Oblivion was for two or three months and then I played The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask in 2008 for the first time and was blown away even more). Honestly, it was a good combination; they were excellent displays of what open-world games can be. Oblivion also had the best quests (compared to the lackluster Skyrim), but of course, retconed the lore from Morrowind, which was annoying. It was also the first game I ever played in The Elder Scrolls lore.

What are your thoughts? Apparently, it has a "Gamebryo API backlink" for mods, but uses Unreal Engine 5, which actually excited my younger brother (who is, otherwise, not really all that interested in a remake and just wants Bethesda to make another game).

Your overall thoughts?

Feels like most shooter games these days are super fast paced, COD style games with 0.5 second reload times and Olympic sprinter running speeds. What are some games that have weightier gameplay mechanics and don't make you feel like a superhuman?
