The textbook guy is such a funny reminder to never learn any language from just textbooks. The language there is often very unnatural and most likely never used in real life. For anyone thinking that apps like Duolingo are better, nah. Those won’t even let you express things in a different way even if it’s correct.

It makes for a great radio voice though.

The second and third parts were unexpected. We have the gang helping a guy Horai Jun muster courage to ask out his crush, worried that his robotic English-influenced diction would hinder him. Turns out his crush (Nikura Ann) is similar to him and they started dating on the spot. As a bonus, Jun and Ann became unintentional wingmen for Niko and Moi. Jun's tickets became a segue for our MCs to finally go on a date!

We learn during the date why Moi appears expressionless. It was a necessity for him to be an effective fighter. Once Nico casts a spell to show Moi's true feelings, it was clear that he's not much different from a normal guy.

Aside from completing all non-remake S;G entries, I played it last because it's a great sendoff to Okabe/Mayuri shippers like me. It's such a nice palate-cleanser to the seriousness of the main entries.

Trailer looks good, if a tad too cutesy for Tom & Jerry. Still like the OG better.

Wow, that was brutal. Preventing someone from piloting the Gundam... that mobile suit must be bad news.

The War of Wrath is a poorly-documented event in the Silmarillion with literally world-changing consequences. What do you imagine happened there?

For example, I consider some of the Valar indeed joined the Host of Valinor.

A conjecture on the matter: https://middle-earth.xenite.org/how-was-beleriand-destroyed-in-the-war-of-wrath/

Tulkas and Oromë could join the war as "combatants" and would be fine with the Maia Eönwë having overall command. After all, he's Manwë's representative and the Valar defer to Manwë.

If Occam's razor is applied, Ulmo would likely be involved, even if indirectly, in the reshaping of Beleriand as far as the sea is concerned.

The Ainu participants are there to take on the supernatural and Balrog-tier elements. The Vanyar and Noldor members of the Host are for fighting the other Children of Ilúvatar since the Ainur can't harm them directly.

I recently learned a new way of understanding what "turning the other cheek" is. Rather than a passive acceptance of abuse, it's like putting a mirror on the abuser and making them look like the villains (which they actually are). The post is very much alike.

The Cheek Slap in Jesus’ Day

In Jesus’ day, hitting a person on the cheek was a forceful insult, but it was not considered a violent assault. Here, Jesus is specifying a strike on the right cheek, which implies a back-handed slap. Striking someone with the back of the hand (3) could demand a doubled fine because it was “the severest public affront to a person’s dignity.” (4)

But Jesus is not suggesting that his followers should stand around and take abuse. First, turning the left cheek was a bold rejection of the insult itself. Second, it challenged the aggressor to repeat the offense, while requiring that they now strike with the palm of their hand, something done not to a lesser but to an equal. In other words, turning the other cheek strongly declares that the opposer holds no power for condescending shame because the victim’s honor is not dependent on human approval—it comes from somewhere else. (5) This kind of action reshapes the relationship, pushing the adversary to either back down or to treat them as an equal.
