Heh, I was a little sleep deprived when I wrote that comment so that likely didn't help either lol but thank you though! That actually does make me feel a bit better, however, I must say, it's kinda funny/sad that phrase can even be said these days. Sorry on behalf of my country and the terrible leaders we have, they are permanently stupid and corrupt, but I hope you Canadians don't think we're all like that either. I'm pretty sure bandwidth is measured in Mbps or Gbps, so if you can ship massive packets of data slowly, that number can still get big. The bandwidth of a van full of MicroSD cards is absolutely enormous, but your ping will be measured in hours, maybe even days.
