I accept this. Good day sir, sorry about your career 😉

[-] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago

I don't hate it... Would take this over python for sure.

That would be nice. Hugely impractical. Especially with today's government. Pretty sure no fault divorce is going to be revoked soon, so it'll only get worse.

Also, was not suggesting that abusive relationships would be enough to swing the election one way or the other, only that this is a valid concern that needs addressed before any sweeping change.

Not at all saying we shouldn't look into the abuse, but unless the victim tells someone, there's no way to know it's happening? I don't really get what you're suggesting here.

Unique goose (lemmy.world)

Hey all! There's no "whatisthisbird" that I can find, so hopefully this is welcome here.

Saw this unique fellow on my walk this morning, hanging out with all the other geese in my area. I was pretty zoomed in so the quality sucks, the video looks better, but wasn't able to upload one here.

Anywho was mostly wondering if this was a different breed or perhaps a hybrid, or just a genetic difference. If anyone knows that would be awesome! It appears physically identical to the other geese (to my untrained eye), just with different colored feathers on the head and tail.

For location info, this was taken in northern KY (USA)

Internal 82nd Airborne Division communications reviewed by Military.com reveal a tightly orchestrated effort to curate the optics of Trump's recent visit, including handpicking soldiers for the audience based on political leanings and physical appearance. The troops ultimately selected to be behind Trump and visible to the cameras were almost exclusively male.

One unit-level message bluntly said "no fat soldiers."

"If soldiers have political views that are in opposition to the current administration and they don't want to be in the audience then they need to speak with their leadership and get swapped out," another note to troops said.

TIL the pyramids are closer in time to stegosaurus than we are

Did you mean closer than we are to the construction of the pyramids? Because obviously the pyramids are closer in time, because they were before us, and the dinosaurs were before them.

I'm atheist, but honestly the accuracy that trump meets every description of the antichrist, it's insane.

Car was running fine, parked for a week or so and now dies immediately after start (doesn't stop like it's low on fuel, stops like if I were to turn the ignition to off). No amount of throttle changes this behavior. I did some Internet research and found that disconnecting the MAF sensor might lead me to the cause if it runs after disconnect. Exact same behavior when disconnected. While in the engine bay I found that if I disconnected the Boost Pressure Solenoid, it started up and ran (idle was a little high, but seems to run okay). The fact it's running when that solenoid is disconnected leads me to believe it's not (at least entirely) a fuel delivery issue. Would you expect that the solenoid itself is the issue, or does that lead you to expect it's some other issue.

Some background history that MIGHT be helpful. Radiator cracked sometime last year (saw low coolant light and stopped before engine got hot), finally got it replaced in Jan or Feb. Took for a test drive and was running fine, then stalled on us right as we left the neighborhood. (Threw a fuel delivery code, but only once, and I didn't take a pic. Didn't show in history or active codes) Would not start. If it did start, would die shortly after (felt and seemed like fuel delivery issues, with a sputter stop). Let it sit a few minutes, and then was able to drive it home without issue. Have since driven it far and at freeway speeds without issues.

Car shows 2 engine codes, will provide images in comments.

P0140 P0141

Stored codes P0036 P0140 P0141

None of these are NEW codes, it was running "fine" with them.

That word doesn't mean anything to him, except as a tool to prosecute people he doesn't like. Obviously laws and illegality don't mean shit when it's him breaking the law.

Pretty sure there is enough evidence for treason at this point, but Congress won't act on it.

I've been trying to get more veggies, for a multitude of reasons, but no matter how I cook broccoli, it stinks up the whole house. Steamed, baked, pan fried. If it were just me I'd probably deal with it, but my partner has a sensitive nose. Any ideas? I don't love it raw, but it's still pretty good.

There's no ads, JavaScript, or tracking analytics, just a straight up html page. My hope is to simply have a place that shares facts.

It's by no means complete. I'd happily welcome anyone who has references to help me complete this page. I just found out the site I was using for his executive orders gets them after about 10 days, and the Whitehouse website has all the up to date one (almost 80 when I checked last night). I'll try to parse through them and update the list as I have time.

If you have any suggested edits or additional items I should add, I'm happy to do so given a reference.

I hope to keep it up to date as much as I can, but their whole plan right now is to flood the area with nonstop shit so that we can't really dial in on any one thing.

I've created an account and repo to outsource the work a little bit. Please feel free to interact and help out:

~~For some reason this is throwing a 404 when you go to it. Hopefully this goes away soon, likely because I only just created the account.~~

Mods, please let me know if this breaks rule 1, it's technically my site but I get nothing from it. There's no ads, JavaScript, or tracking analytics, just a straight up html page. My hope is to simply have a place that shares facts.

Repebble is starting up from the original creators and a small team. I think we can get some awesome watches coming with modern components and maybe a couple cool new features.

Been using their paid service for months. I have so many aliases. I'm just surprised. Surely this company knows its biggest user base has to be too educated to let this slide.

It's the principle of the thing. These companies keep overreaching all the time.

Tiniest little bug. I only saw 4 legs, but it probably has more. Adding more pics in the comments, can only upload one. Phone wouldn't really focus on it.

I've been keeping my pebble 2 alive for a very long time. New battery a few months ago, rewiring the vibrator motor due to the wire breaking at the solder point, new 3d printed buttons.

It's been working great for a very long time. Today, the motor itself is dead, resoldering it yielded no joy.

I think I need to retire this watch. I've asked my brother if I could buy one of his (he backed all the kickstarters) that isn't working any more. I'll replace the battery in it, and get it working again.

It's so sad that these aren't made any more. No significant changes or updates in what, like 7 years, and it still functions nearly perfectly. I wish so badly that someone would pick up where they left off and manufacture some more.
