Just remembered this community. I have tons of photos of decrepit, abandoned buildings, as it's one of my favorite things to photograph. I'm going to upload some more over the next couple of days

Therapists are required to break confidentiality if they suspect child abuse. The church thinks it is above secular law and only answers to God, not to mention the protection it offers to its own child abusers. It's complete nonsense and a good example of why religious tolerance has limits.

It's funny how capitalist apologists in this thread attack the format of a tweet and people not reading the actual article, when they clearly haven't read the original article.

Negative prices are only mentioned in passing, as a very rare phenomenon, while most of it is dedicated to value deflation of energy (mentioned 4 times), aka private sector investors not earning enough profits to justify expanding the grid. Basically a cautionary tale of leaving such a critical component of society up to a privatized market.

Well, that settles it then. Better release him for the sake of Government Efficiency and all that.

Ziff Davis, the owner of several digital outlets like CNET, PCMag, IGN, and Everyday Health, is suing OpenAI over claims of copyright infringement, as first reported by The New York Times. In the lawsuit, the digital media company accuses OpenAI of “intentionally and relentlessly” creating “exact copies” of its outlets’ works without permission. The company also alleges that OpenAI trained its AI models on its work despite Ziff Davis instructing web crawlers not to scrape its data using a robots.txt file, adding that OpenAI allegedly removed copyright information from the content it sucks up.

It's a true shame. Francis was the most "eco-socialist" pope we are going to get. Managing to offend entrenched conservatives deserves respect.

It takes massive courage to give up a cozy job at Microsoft and potentially damage your entire career to stand up for your values this way. Props to her!

Israel shooting medics, throwing them in a mass grave and then lying about it? Better not talk about it, or we might be labelled as antisemites and/or terrorist supporters.

Probably just God making it spontaneously combust.

Is the snowflake afraid of a little free speech? I thought he was all about free markets correcting themselves?

At first, Zelensky rejected the proposal, but the two countries eventually reached an agreement on a revised version. Zelensky traveled to Washington to finalize and sign the deal.

However, tensions escalated when Zelensky tried to explain Russian President Vladimir Putin’s lack of diplomacy to Vice President Vance. Vance accused Zelensky of “litigating” in front of the media and criticized him for appearing in photos with Democrats during the 2024 campaign. He also said Zelensky’s comments were “disrespectful” to the Trump administration.

This sounds just like a setup to humiliate Zelensky and justify this shit to the MAGA brains. Trump and Vance weren't planning on signing the deal. Pure and simple propaganda. But MAGAs don't have enough neurons to see it.

How efficient is it to antagonize people that are actively promoting your own content for free on other platforms? Does this actually work for Nintendo?

Win11: less functionality, more ads

And what's with the weasel words like "recommended"? Just call them "sponsored" or "ads", like they really are.

Wow, Microsoft are always so innovative! I never thought that the Win11 taskbar could get any shittier, but somehow they managed it. It's great to see those thousands of engineers being put to good use.
