It looks like "Cream Blindness" to me, not that it makes any more sense...
Every now and then I see something from the Babylon Bee when they're not being expressly political, and it makes me think they could be maybe a halfway okayish humor site if they weren't so grossly hateful and bigoted most of the time...
See the thing about the Epstein thing is that we actually have evidence for it. "Trump staged the shooting" is baseless speculation.
If Trump doesn't know about it, how do they do the blood on the ear? Not even elite marksmen can reliably hit someone's ear at that distance without risking actually hitting their head. If it were fake blood, Trump would have to be in on it.
And again, the shooter being right-wing almost entirely negated the propaganda advantage the GOP could gain from it, it doesn't make sense for it to have been staged.
Let's leave the conspiracy theories to the far-right lunatics, please. The attempt killed an innocent bystander and the shooter was a right-winger. Even if they were cynical enough to stage the first part on purpose (and honestly, I wouldn't put it past them), the shooter being one of their own completely undermines the entire point of staging something like that to begin with.
Besides, this administration is way too incompetent to keep a secret. With the way Trump has been blundering his way through the Epstein accusations, do you really think he could keep his mouth shut about staging an assassination attempt?
I love the gameplay of Dead Rising, but the time limits and save point restrictions really do not mesh well with how I want to play it. The game has the perfect setup to be a sandbox where you could just fuck around with finding silly ways to kill zombies, but the time limits - even if they are as generous as people say - just give me constant anxiety and I can't really relax and screw around with it like I'd want to.
Why does everything have to be so fucking stupid? Is it really not enough that we have to watch the destruction of democracy happen before our eyes? Must it really be carried out by a group named after an early 2010s internet meme featuring a Shiba Inu with bad grammar? Do we really have to read serious reporting about the criminal connections of a 19-year-old government employee called "Big Balls?"
I just never imagined the fall of American democracy would be so... inane.
Could they have made the headline any more misleading??
Not as drastic as the headline makes it out to be, or at least so they claim.
“We acquired Tumblr to benefit from its differences and strengths, not to water it down. We love Tumblr’s streamlined posting experience and its current product direction,” the post explained. “We’re not changing that. We’re talking about running Tumblr’s backend on WordPress. You won’t even notice a difference from the outside,” it noted.
We'll see how that actually works out. Tumblr’s backend has always seemed rather... makeshift, so I'm curious to see how they manage to do that. Given Tumblr’s technical eccentricities, a backend migration could probably do a lot of good for the functionality of the site, if done properly. I have my doubts that WordPress' engineers will be given the time and resources to do a full overhaul/refactor though, so I'm fully expecting even more janky, barely functional code stapling the two systems together.
Reading into the updates some more... I'm starting to think this might just destroy CloudStrike as a company altogether. Between the mountain of lawsuits almost certainly incoming and the total destruction of any public trust in the company, I don't see how they survive this. Just absolutely catastrophic on all fronts.
You know, years ago, I used to really like Neil before he adopted this "Well, ackchually..." shtick over scientific inaccuracies in works of fiction. I find him absolutely insufferable now. It's the same kind of brainworms as CinemaSins.
Ohh, that's probably what it actually is
