Clerks. It should be some stoner Seinfeld flick but it actually lines up pretty well with La Divina Comedia and the dialogue, although sometimes a bit clunky, is very well written.

I once saw a render of the Europa synth by propellerheads as a physical synth. I love the software variant but the physical one looked pretty damn slick.

This track has no business being this hype

In the Netherlands, by law there is a minimum of one month's notice. If the employers fire you, the notice time is doubled. So if a company would require three months notice it means you can still work there for 6 more months after you're fired.

Really common in Dutch cities. Not all of them have zebra lanes but the rules are really quite simple.

Same but for cats. I have a Black and Decker which is specifically for pet owners

I was 31 when I got excited about one. It had the same battery as my drill.

A third option is that there is a third pizza eater who also ate 4/6th of their pizza and gave 2/6th up Marty in exchange for the 2/6th Marty didn't eat.

Or yeah maybe it was a larger pizza.

It's not a popular opinion in the Netherlands but I would like Volt to be bigger. If I read about their perfect Netherlands, I really can get behind that. The thing is that they do describe a utopia with a lot of impossible things that are going to cost a lot of money. But hey, we gotta start somewhere, right?

Wilders has been threatening to blow it up since day one. This coalition has been an uphill struggle from the get-go and none of the voters are in any way helped with the flailing policies and continuous notes that their official documents are lacking any semblance of professionalism and critical thought.

The sad thing is that we are a country divided on basically one issue. Migration. This is why populist parties can just ask simple questions like 'can we even trust our government?', 'are the government people even working?' or 'are the media still trustworthy?' and everyone is like 'yeah we need this guy in charge'. So voters do exactly 5 minutes of 'research' and then vote for the most incompetent guy who yells the loudest.

So we will go vote again. And we will most likely end up in a similar situation. And that, too, will fail.

The Netherlands also elected a right wing populist gouvernement somehow. They've been at it for a while but haven't really done anything they have been yelling about because they figured out it's not all as simple as it seems.

The common denominator seems to be someone yelling that immigrants are bad. I think most people in the Netherlands voted for the populists because of that and they see past the incompetence and stuff that borders on fascism. They just want their streets to be filled with white people eating potatoes and speaking Dutch.

I'm not saying migration isn't an issue at all, because it is, I'm just saying it might not be a great idea to elect a party based on this point without looking at the rest of their opinions.

Hey all,

I kind of recall playing this game where you are a community of organic beings (I kinda recall them being four legged and the design was very block-y), they build 'hives' (I remember this term as a certainty) as their bases/barracks. I think the idea is that these beings do some exploring around the planet.

Sorry I don't have any more to go on, I was about 10 when I played this in the early zeroes.

Anyone have a clue?

Look at it

Hey welcome to my ramble of the day.

Lately I've been very aware of how every day I accomplish a little less and have more trouble getting through an evening without drinking.

Christmas is coming up and I'm spending it in Switzerland with my brother-in-law. All good, you'd say. Except both me and my wife are running on fumes. We are both super tired. We've discussed skipping it but we cannot do this to my mother-in-law. She doesn't often get both her kids together and she's had a rough year.

In any event, looking at my progress over the past few weeks I feel like I'm doing a little worse every day and just that realization is making me kind of depressed.

So before I get all kinds of recommendations, here's my current game plan:

  • I've registered with a psychologist (not in the USA so insurance is not an issue)
  • My employer knows of evening and they are very supportive. I haven't been working since beginning of September)
  • I intend to take it very easy in Switzerland and try to relax around the other days of Christmas as well. Beginning of January will be super chill for me.

Thanks for bearing with me. I really hope to improve in the next year.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to read. I've been feeling bad for some time now and figured now is a good a time as any to share.

I am having a pretty serious issue with activating myself lately. I've been sidelined from work since the beginning of September. In this time I've been speaking to several healthcare professionals and colleagues. I'm currently in the process of finding a therapist.

I've recently drawn the conclusion that I do not sometimes have bad days, I'm pretty much down every day but I have moments that I'm fine. The fine moments are getting more scarce though...

Today I am writing to you because my mind does not know what it wants. I can't decide if I wanna call my friends and have a beer or if I want to curl up on my bed and cry.

Anyway, that was what I wanted to share. Thanks for reading.

Looking to upgrade my trusty 1070Ti. I use my pc for RPGs (Borderlands, Hogwarts Legacy) , VR fps (Alyx, Arizona Sunshine) and VR simracing (F1 23).

Deciding between ASUS Dual 4070 (@ €600) or ASUS TUF 7800XT.

Benchmarks don't really tell the whole story because they rarely include DLSS3, but the games I play don't really support that anyway. TUF is a better cooler, but bulkier.

I can also just not buy anything and wait for the 4070 Super to come along.

Thoughts?
