It was also on sale on PC, I've been getting lost in it. It's amazing. It makes me wonder if I should be playing Alan Wake as well. I once got Alan Wake II with my GPU but I sold it

Someone who thinks the plural of 'kid' is 'kid's' clearly underestimates the societal value of a decent education

I've always maintained it's for non-nerds who want to laugh at cultures they'll never understand. For convenience, all known nerd stuff is crammed into all characters.

All the while most investments go towards pushing mind numbing entertainment to the masses who are too blind to see they are being manipulated. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

Prepaid credit card? Although I'm not sure to which extent it's really private. Usually the type of 'voucher'-like payment options are kinda sketchy.

I think you're pretty much limited to the kind of options the seller accepts and they are usually not the type of options to value privacy.

Aren't there a few Islands as well? And two Dakotas. Idaho...

Very odd answer.

I think humanity is a species of excess. The harm we cause our planet every day by not seeing the bigger picture is hurting pretty much everything on the planet.

I'm not an antinatalist, but I think we could stand to decrease our numbers rather than increase them at least for a couple of centuries.

What's going on everyone? I just felt like sharing something that I find worth sharing.

I suffer pretty badly from eczema and I've been trying to deal with it for pretty much all my life. Ever since I started Dupilumab (it's a biological injection that tells my body to create a missing enzyme), it's been a lot quieter, except for... the face.

My dad taught me how to shave with a simple Gilette razor casette system, so that's what I have been using since I was around 16. I am now 32, and I have been using Boldking's razor system and that worked best for me. It was just a lot of work and kind of tedious. Plus it would give me a lot of inconsistent results. I would, however, deal with redness and spots in the face. I have also tried an electrical razor but that only seems to make the redness worse.

So last week I decided to give a safety razor a try, I ordered one and it arrived today. Had my shave just now and it just feels so much nicer.

I was still using foam from a can (also from Boldking since they don't use parabens), but I'm looking to upgrade to a better foam, with a brush.

So bottom line: one shave in and I'm sold. I am excited to experience the journey!

Genre: Base builder/strategy

Hey all,

I kind of recall playing this game where you are a community of organic beings (I kinda recall them being four legged and the design was very block-y), they build 'hives' (I remember this term as a certainty) as their bases/barracks. I think the idea is that these beings do some exploring around the planet.

Sorry I don't have any more to go on, I was about 10 when I played this in the early zeroes.

Anyone have a clue?

Hey welcome to my ramble of the day.

Lately I've been very aware of how every day I accomplish a little less and have more trouble getting through an evening without drinking.

Christmas is coming up and I'm spending it in Switzerland with my brother-in-law. All good, you'd say. Except both me and my wife are running on fumes. We are both super tired. We've discussed skipping it but we cannot do this to my mother-in-law. She doesn't often get both her kids together and she's had a rough year.

In any event, looking at my progress over the past few weeks I feel like I'm doing a little worse every day and just that realization is making me kind of depressed.

So before I get all kinds of recommendations, here's my current game plan:

  • I've registered with a psychologist (not in the USA so insurance is not an issue)
  • My employer knows of evening and they are very supportive. I haven't been working since beginning of September)
  • I intend to take it very easy in Switzerland and try to relax around the other days of Christmas as well. Beginning of January will be super chill for me.

Thanks for bearing with me. I really hope to improve in the next year.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to read. I've been feeling bad for some time now and figured now is a good a time as any to share.

I am having a pretty serious issue with activating myself lately. I've been sidelined from work since the beginning of September. In this time I've been speaking to several healthcare professionals and colleagues. I'm currently in the process of finding a therapist.

I've recently drawn the conclusion that I do not sometimes have bad days, I'm pretty much down every day but I have moments that I'm fine. The fine moments are getting more scarce though...

Today I am writing to you because my mind does not know what it wants. I can't decide if I wanna call my friends and have a beer or if I want to curl up on my bed and cry.

Anyway, that was what I wanted to share. Thanks for reading.

Looking to upgrade my trusty 1070Ti. I use my pc for RPGs (Borderlands, Hogwarts Legacy) , VR fps (Alyx, Arizona Sunshine) and VR simracing (F1 23).

Deciding between ASUS Dual 4070 (@ €600) or ASUS TUF 7800XT.

Benchmarks don't really tell the whole story because they rarely include DLSS3, but the games I play don't really support that anyway. TUF is a better cooler, but bulkier.

I can also just not buy anything and wait for the 4070 Super to come along.

Thoughts?
