For those who like to read I suggest Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell. He digs into this expertly and shows is much bigger than just bad cops. Systems create behavior and the system is toxic AF. Waving a magic wand and making all cops good is not nearly enough.

As much Accord as you can afford.

It's a saying for a reason. It's a great car for a great price. My Dad was in the automobile business (service side) since I was born until he retired and this was always his advice and that of most of the people he worked with. There were a few that hated imports and would recommend American vehicles, none have lasted the test of time.

I also want to respond to the failure bit. Failure is part of practice but acknowledging failure is healthy. It's not a bad thing, it's a learning opportunity. I recognize some will argue it's semantics or not judge myself harshly or what have you. As someone who's been in charge of probably thousands of adults from much older to much younger I've found those who have a healthy relationship with failure will likely do better than those who don't.

I'm sure athairmor didn't mean anything but encouragement and I appreciate that. I just want to share that admitting failure to ourselves and others is a healthy path to success. Trying to minimize failure often leads to bypassing the learning from step or folks changing just enough to get away from the pain and not to prevent the pain again in the future.

Yup, I took it too far and said too much.

What did I learn? To not rely so much on the plastic card, so I bought a roll of yellow scotch tape with measurements on it and stuck it to my pen. Next time a black dress on a black background shouldn't impact me as much.

I mean it didn't kill me, so there's that. 🤣

My parents bought a fancy Samsung fridge with a screen 5 years ago. We bought LG. In the first year they had theirs serviced 6 times before replacing it with the same LG fridge we have. Earlier this year right before the extended warranty ran out the compressor on my fridge died. They've not had a single problem with theirs yet.

My brother bought a Samsung TV that was supposed to be better than my LG OLED. In the first year the anti glare coating wore off enough that there are bright spots you can't not see. My LG TV is fine.

Typed on my Samsung phone.

I use a transparent card to help me with box measurements that has little black lines. The models dress was black with a black background. I winged it and failed completely.

For me this was the car of the show. Several Corvettes including a few C8 Z06s, Lamborghinis, a few R35s, a couple R8s, a second gen Viper, and so many other cool cars and this was my favorite. Absolutely gorgeous!

Gorgeous car! I considered one of these when I bought my first sports car. Unfortunately the TCO scares me so I went with something else.

Saw one of these as a kid and was shocked how short it is. My wife said the same thing standing next to this. It was in perfect condition as far as I could tell.

It was debadged so I'm guessing. Saw it at a car show yesterday.
