How can I go about learning to do that? And how can I make a workflow to consistently work on it? Please and thank you

Everyone needs to start creating Unionozed-cooperative businesses. Sharing the load that there can be more jobs. Not enough businesses being made

[-] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

The biggest answer to all this is to unite:

Uniting in getting people onto better alternatives for platforms/apps/websites:

Linux Mint, Pop!_OS, Fedora Workstation

iodeOS, & BraxOS

Bluesky, & Mastodon

Voyager for Lemmy

PeerTube

Flashes

Spark

Revolt Matrix via Element app FUTO Apps

Fossify Apps

Proton Apps OpenVPN CCTV Cameras sold that actually value privacy Linux on TV's/Phones (PostmarketOS)/Cars/tablets too Etc etc etc etc etc.

Supporting any and all real projects that uplift humanity. Open-Source Community-Made Software and Hardware, Unionized-Cooperatives, Credit Unions, etc etc etc. Always building towards better and never anything less than that

And much more:

Uniting in getting other people onto best practices to be better off online and in-person

Uniting in getting them on much better news sources

Uniting in getting them to take action, & collaborate together consistently in large and small groups with different groups focused on different issues. Everyone is flip flopping between problems too much. We need focused groups on each problem

Uniting locally, statewide, nationally, & internationally. We are all stronger together. We must all treat each other as true allies, & actually build out in every way we can. Having a couple focused groups per issue will help so much

(Also please add some line breaks to your paragraphs)

P.S. Is there any way I can collaborate with you?

[-] [email protected] 29 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

I'll add that people aren't being hugged, & touched enough. Also, infrastructure sucks to encourage socializing

Its an epidemic of that. We are social creatures. That's our main motto

When we work together, live in groups, etc we all feel better. Reminds us of our tribe days

A big part of human connection is being physical with each other in a chill way. So try to hug your bros more, & get things done as a unit with women!

Both sides are supposed to be allies to each other

Are there any good open-source community-made models that aren't owned by corporations or at least owned by a Non-Profit/ Public Benefit Corporation?

Curious what you all thought for what things like Lemmy, Revolt, Mastodon, PeerTube, Bluesky, Flashes, etc would need to be able to grow fast and well to get many users joining up

Because it's high time everyone drops all the way less than ideal platforms/apps/websites/news sources

I'll add on too:

Content creators that are engaging, clear, & entertaining explaining things with great videos showing Fediverse, etc stuff will help in various ways

Viva Slovakia!!!

Slovakia Population: 5,422,194 Million

Let's all get everyone of the people onto these platforms/apps/websites to grow together (Most of these are on Bluesky via @)

The more united we all are/ the people in-person, & online the better. With each person on these, taking action, inspiring each other, & collaborating that makes us all stronger. Adding to the resistance with an extra person/people who can put any skills they have to use or be taught how to help. So please try these out, then get others on board, & recommend communities/organizations/people getting things done to follow/help out by doing with them

You can have all your people covered online and all be adaptable to get things done. Uniting privately/anonymously

Recommendations:

(They all have entries about them on alternativeto.net as well)

Let's all just make new companies that are unionized-cooperatives bringing all our coworkers into them

In this example that CEO isn't needed

(Photo is missing Hawaii, & Alaska that had protests too)

Just wanted to let you all know it wasn't 3 million it was 5.2 million people that protested from latest number. But it will grow a lot bigger with each protest. 5.2 million out of 347 million total population so far

Anywhere on Bluesky they say it's 5.2 million

Finally, look into these:

  • Run For Something @runforsomething (If you are 40 or under Run For Something will help you run for office, but if you're over 40 they will still have resources available for you to use but won't offer guidance since they are focused on younger candidates. They help you learn and have over a 1,500+ candidates serving the U.S. today, with over 7,000+ more in pipeline out of 600,000+ positions across the whole country. They need more candidates from us. The people. So if you got the guts to learn get in there))

  • Elias Law Group @eliaslawgroup (They are basically forming the Elias Rangers Law Force (That's what I call them) fighting back against all this with many many many lawyers, & other law officials in their corner)

  • Vetsat @vetsat.bsky.social (They are veterans uniting the active duty, reserves, & retired military people against all this. If you know anyone that is military sens them there to work with them)

  • Linux Foundation @linuxfoundation/ Open Source @opensource/ Its FOSS @itsfoss (They all cover open-source, & Linux software & hardware project that can power everything and anything to be fully free)

  • Indivisible @indivisible/ 50501 @50501/ HandsOff/ Tesla Takedown/ etc (The ones that are doing these protests)

You can do it. We can do it!! Getting all of us together here and those other platforms!! Let's rise!!!

Automotive Grade Linux project is going to become way more important in time

[-] [email protected] 94 points 2 months ago

PostmarketOS can't happen fast enough

LineageOS, & GrapheneOS hopefully will still be good for now

[-] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

Reminder:

On Bluesky follow @runforsomething then run as well for any position that doesn't have a viable candidate. The more people in power the more can change and much faster. Encourage others to as well

Same for switching to better alternatives using stuff like alternatives.net, Flashes, Spark, PeerTube, Revolt, & Element

Of course nothing beats action whether its solo or with others. So no matter how small do something every day, and better yet with others. With consistency that makes a big difference, and when it naturally evolves into big effort it'll result in huge change

Everyone do what ya can to grow with others. Also @indivisible for new left, and @principlesfirst for new right parties (They had a bomb threat so they definitely don't want the right to have new party)

[-] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago

Yup plus the European Union is making their alternative to launch in a year or 2

[-] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

With every person dedicated to getting more people onto Better Platforms, Linux Distros, Fediverse, ActivityPub, and ATProtocol apps that just shines the light more and makes it a lot harder for anyone to spread lies or project their "power"

Linux Distros for Desktop:

Linux Mint Pop!_OS (Should be called Cosmic OS, sounds better) Fedora Workstation Asahi Fedora Remix

Mobile Android Alt Distros:

LineageOS GrapheneOS

For Fediverse Apps:

Mastodon PeerTube Lemmy Diaspora Sup

For ATProtocol Apps:

Bluesky Flashes Spark

Let's spread the word ladies and gentlemen!!
