.ml is explicitly a restricted speech instance. It's a safe space for Tankies, not dissimilar to Nazi safe spaces. They don't and will never care about your good intended arguments.
Come on.
Fuck RT! Fuck Russia!
Is hardly a "good intentioned argument".
I didn't say this particular case was a good intentioned argument. You're not allowed to say fuck RT or fuck Russia on .ml is the main point.
Or anything that might insinuate that you disagree with Dear Leader.
Who cares?
No, seriously — we have upvotes and downvotes for a reason. Why are people not allowed to simply downvote the 'Fuck RT! Fuck Russia!' comments and move on?
Actually, for someone arguing in good faith, wouldn't these be perfect chances to provide examples of how 'Fuck RT! Fuck Russia!' is actually an incorrect perspective?
The answer is yes, it would be the perfect chance. The reason they choose to ban instead is because they're cultivating an echo chamber.
It's the correct response to state sponsored propaganda.
Tankies defending capitalist dictatorships, beautiful.
get back to work dessalines.
Is there any easy way to migrate from lemmy to piefed? Would rather spend my time and donations on sane devs working to improve their platform instead of curating their own personal propoganda fiefdom.
It is very easy. You just create an account on piefed and that's it.
There is an import function in piefed and an export in Lemmy, though it doesn't do comments/posts, just subs/blocks
Moving posts/comments to other sites isn't a thing in threadiverse. Especially if you're a regular user. However, migrating the content of Lemmy instance database to Piefed is apparently starting to look like a feasible thing and some Lemmy instances like slrpnk are exploring that possibility in the future.
What you can do is export your Lemmy subscriptions and import them on a Piefed instance.
I wanna know this too. I just migrate to lemmy zip not too long ago and looking to migrate off this platform altogether.
Our main dev is an irredemable fascist apologist but please donate!!!
Lmao
Wow so surprising
same thing on WorldNews (not to be confused with World News)

Documenting hate speech, conspiracy theories, apologia/revisionism, and general tankie behaviour across the fediverse. Memes are welcome!
What is a Tankie?
Alternatively, a detailed blog post about Tankies.
(caution of biased source)
Basic Rules:
Sh.itjust.works Instance rules apply! If you are from other instances, please be mindful of the rules. — Basically, don't be a dick.
Hate-Speech — You should be familiar with this one already; practically all instances have the same rules on hate speech.
Apologia — (Using the Modern terminology for Apologia) No Defending, Denying, Justifying, Bolstering, or Differentiating authoritarian acts or endeavours, whether it be a Pro-CCP viewpoint, Stalinism, Islamic Terrorism or any variation of Tankie Ideology.
Revisionism — No downplaying or denying atrocities past and present. Calling Tankies shills, foreign/federal agents, or bots also falls under this rule. Extremists exist. They are real. Do not call them shills or fake users, as it handwaves their extremism.
Off-topic Discussion — Do not discuss unrelated topics to the point of derailing the thread. Stay focused on the direct content of the post, rather than engaging in arguments that lack mutual agreement.
Brigading — If you're here because this community was linked in another thread, please refrain from voting, commenting, or manipulating the post in any way. This includes alt accounts. All votes are public, and if you are found to be brigading, you will be banned.
Tankies can explain their views, but may be criticised or challenged for them. Any minor infraction of the rules may result in a warning and possibly a temporary ban.
You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. Bans typically last only 24 hours, but each subsequent infraction doubles the duration. Depending on the content, the ban time may be increased. You may request an unban at any time.
