She seems to be most of what Gandhi is remembered for and none of the stuff that he should probably be hated for. Maybe it'll come out that she's done some horrible things, but I doubt it.

Yep, that's why I doubt there's anything particularly bad. In this age, there's no way to hide much, particularly if you're as (in)famous as she is. The ultra-wealthy can suppress a lot with their wealth, but anyone else is going to be dragged into the light if it's out there.

How the fuck is this not in the news? Their boat got bombed off the coasts of sicily! Sigonella is just there, there's no way they don't know who did it.
I heard about it on DemocracyNOW, they're pretty good about covering Israel's many crimes.
When the Putler might have done it, you will see the front page splattered with accusations about deep sea cables. (and barely any corrections when that turns out to be false accusations)
When Israel does it you better have Netanyahu personally admitting to it on video else the media will not give it a second thought.

On one hand they probably don't want to anger Europe even further, but on the other hand Israel lost all its braincells in 2023 so we can't be sure they'll do the smart thing and not kill one of the world's most prominent activists.

They probably won’t because they know how much bad press they’d get. They’d rather murder non famous people or “unpeople” as they seem to see Palestinians.
I would say that's unlikely. They can murder Palestinians all day, but a European aid ship filled with European activists, with one in particular being very famous? That's how you destroy any remaining support you had. It makes it very clear to everyone that you're evil, even to the people who've kept their heads in the sand. They'd probably keep US support for now, but lose a lot in Europe.

That would make sense normally but here's the thing: Fascists are fucking stupid. Remember the European commission they intimidated using "warning shots"? Israel has been managing its PR horribly since October 7th and especially since March this year. that's a good thing for Palestinians because the faster Israel alienates the West the faster they can get some kind of help, but it means Greta can't count on her fame to protect her because such protection requires Israel to have self-preservation instincts that they clearly lost sometime in 2024.
You're probably right, but it would make her a martyr really quickly, and it'd be very bad for Israel I hope. Ideally they aren't this stupid, but they've been proving that they are lately so who knows...
