The software error, which Ford reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration earlier this month, may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.

The problem will be fixed by a dealer or via an “over-the-air” update at a later date. A preliminary letter notifying owners of the safety risk is expected to be mailed June 16, with a second letter to be sent once the update is available, expected sometime in the third quarter of 2025.

The following Ford vehicles — a total of 1,075,299 — are included in the recall:

2021-2024 Bronco

2021-2024 Edge

2023-2024 Escape

2021-2024 F-150

2023-2024 F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600

2022-2024 Expedition

2022-2025 Transit

2021-2023 Mach-E

2024 Ranger

2024 Mustang

2021-2023 Lincoln Nautilus

2022-2024 Navigator

2023-2024 Corsair

The principality of Monaco is perhaps the least suitable place on the Formula 1 calendar to hold a Grand Prix. A pirate cove turned tax haven nestled between France and Italy at the foot of the Alps-Maritimes, it has also been home to Grand Prix racing since 1929, predating the actual Formula 1 world championship by two decades. The track is short, tight, and perhaps best described as riding a bicycle around your living room. It doesn’t even race well, for the barrier-lined streets are too narrow for the too-big, too-heavy cars of the 21st century. And yet, it’s F1’s crown jewel.

Despite the location's many drawbacks, there’s something magical about racing in Monaco that almost defies explanation. The real magic happens on Saturday, when the drivers compete against each other to set the fastest lap. With overtaking as difficult as it is here, qualifying is everything, determining the order everyone lines up in, and more than likely, finishes.

What the title was about:

The gaps at the front were much bigger for Q3, and the lap times much quicker. Three drivers broke the existing track record set by Lewis Hamilton during qualifying in 2021, with McLaren's Lando Norris the fastest at 1:09.954—the fastest time ever for this configuration of the circuit.

Sad that this had to die to bring us the Ford Explorer.

Let's only focus on the reverse gear position, I believe there are as follow:

  1. all the way to the right and down.

  2. all the way to the right and up.

  3. all the way to the left and up.

  4. knob pull then shift to left and up.

For me, if I drive an old 5 speed then 1).

For modern cars with 6 speed, I prefer 4). It makes me feel confident that I am definitely in reverse.

A 6 speed with 3) imo is just terrible. I know many BMWs have this pattern. The idea is to really push to the left so you engage reverse and not 1st. Tried it on a friend's car and I was quite nervous: what happen if I yank too hard and damage the shifter?

My son and I are going to the Pikes Peak HC this year! Just bought tickets and I can't wait. Lived here our whole lives and we've never been able to go.

"While we don’t know how Schäfer defines “a true GTI,” the report adds that the electric GTI will remain front-wheel-drive."

"The ID.2 will be the tip of the electric hot hatch iceberg. Beyond the Golf GTI, the portfolio will ultimately grow to include an electric successor to the Golf R that will retain the current car’s all-wheel-drive layout."

"Auto Express adds that Volkswagen will continue to update the current, eighth-generation Golf through the end of the decade. There’s no word yet on whether that means the current GTI will live on until 2030."

My mom took this picture on our mother's day drive through the mountains. She's a photographer and doesn't get to make the drive herself anymore.

There's technically a car or two in it so I thought I'd share.

Ernest says the children were initially cheering the Cybertruck, but their enthusiasm turned to skepticism when the truck experienced an issue that rendered it undrivable.

The issue began when Ernest drove his 10-year-old son to a baseball match in his Cybertruck.

Ernest placed his son’s baseball gear in the front trunk (frunk); however, when they arrived at the field, the frunk wouldn’t open.

This is quite frustrating; however, the Cybertruck owner and father stated he was prepared to drive 40 minutes back home to fetch a replacement glove for his son.

Regrettably, despite his willingness to make this sacrifice to support his child, Ernest states that the Cybertruck detected an issue with the frunk and went into “Limp Mode.”

This is where the truck limits the top speed to 15 miles per hour, meaning that, besides repositioning the vehicle to be towed, there is nothing the owner can do.

At this point, Ernest says he was so frustrated that he briefly considered tying a rope around the frunk, connecting it to a tree, and yanking the frunk open.

Took my car out for its springtime shakeout drive. Pretty excited to get some miles on it here in NY now that the weather is finally nice.

C8 New Interior (www.corvetteforum.com)

Thoughts on the new Corvette interior? Owners seem to be split in it. As a C7 owner I like that what could be used as a second oh shit handle seems to have returned. "The wall" from before eliminated it. My wife's favorite feature on my car as the passenger.

I'm wondering if this is a completely stupid idea, I've done some research already about where to put the batteries (can likely be wired up in the boot with motor in the front, or potentially have a bank under the bonnet in lieu of where the fuel tank would live anyways) but I am somewhat worried about the weight.... however I suppose given modern batteries it should be just about doable.

Would be a fairly cheap project anyways, the actual car can be bought on the cheap as barely anyone wants Trabi 1.1's for some reason & second hand batteries are always a possibility. Might even try and find a regular Trabi with a blown engine (as often happened) as they often go for nothing.

I spent about 4 hours on the mountain roads this morning. I took a few pictures while I was there, this is my favorite one.
