Tracker Control might help, tho I'm probably not smart enough to understand the results...

GNOME Software tells me that there is a "Secure Boot dbx Configuration Update;" in the description below it reads:

"UEFI Secure Boot Forbidden Signature Database"

"This updates the list of forbidden signatures (the "dbx") to the latest release from Microsoft."

"An insecure version of Howyar's SysReturn software was added, due to a security vulnerability that allowed an attacker to bypass UEFI Secure Boot."

GNOME Firmware tells me that this update is not removeable or reversible, and I dimly remember there being something bad (perhaps incorrectly) about Secure Boot. So, what do you think, should I update it or ignore it?

Can't seem to get any of its instances to bring anything up from IMDb (owned by amazon).

I can install gnome-software on mint from the repos and get them that way, so it doesn't really matter I guess, but I was just wondering . . .

~ used to mean "/storage/emulated/0/" and now they decided to change it for no apparent reason to "/storage/emulated/0/syncthing/" screwing up my entire setup ("folder path missing"). Just noticed this with 1.29.6.1. What gives? ๐Ÿ˜

EDIT: I guess this isn't too hard to fix, but still . . .

Latest update to LibreWolf changed it's user agent string and it's causing websites to freak out. For example amazon will default you to a mobile website and Youtube music is having issues. To make matters worse if you try to download an extension to change the user agent string, it won't let you and tell you to download Firefox. You'll need to manually override the user agent string by going into about:config. You'll need to add general.useragent.override string into config. > > > Here is how you can do that: > https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/how-to-change-your-user-agent/firefox > > I changed my user agent string to following and problem went away. > > > Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:138.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/138.0

I have uBlock and Canvas Blocker off, the little shield thingy off, my VPN off, and Autoplay allowed, but still cannot play videos on bandcamp. Anyone else having this problem?

Was just about to post this before @[email protected] beat me to the punch. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

Why are so many projects still on Microsoft-owned github? They should follow OM's lead.

There's no mobile version, use Ironfox instead; they're both FF-based so you can sync between them.

Why why why don't they just do like Wikipedia or the Internet Archive does and just come out and ask for donations instead of trying to sneak all this advertising shit into things?

EDIT: Another idea, which I'm sure they'll never consider, is to host actual @thunderbird.net email addresses which could be paid for. People at this very minute are looking for Proton Mail replacements, and this could be one of them . . .

Hey Dems, don't try to resist or anything!

As a Linux person, I, too, am somewhat tired of being treated like a second-class user. Having no Linux client for Drive is a real pain.

Putin's (very) useful idiot is now in the process of completing his work destroying the US federal government. Hope state governments can pick up the slack, because they'll have to.

EDIT: And, surprise! Red states are more dependent on federal funding than blue states are.

Hopefully he'll end up in the same circle of hell as Kyrsten Sinema (if I remember my Dante correctly, this means that Satan himself will be nibbling on their heads for all eternity alongside Judas, Brutus, and Cassius).

Do you need to go back? What exactly are you going back from? Is it not serving your needs? There are plenty of alternatives to Google services; I'd be happy to provide some suggestions, if you'd like, having been through this ever since The Snowden Affair.
