There are many social constructs that govern our lives

Even if they paid attention, the history being taught to them was probably not very good

There were many attempts to assassinate Hitler during the third reich and most plots originated from within the upper command. This should not be seen as attempts to end fascism and stop the war by killing Hitler. These were attempts to usurp Hitler in order to gain his position and, from the perspective of the plotters, provide more reliable leadership so that the war could be won. Heusinger plotting to kill Hitler is not an implication that he had renounced Nazism nor does it absolve him of his many crimes against humanity. No one like this should ever have even been considered for another position of power in any capacity. Imo, he should have been shot and the fact that he wasn't is a weakness of liberalism

I have an assignment due in a seminar class that asks me to write an essay about AI. This wouldn't be an issue, except they've specified that I must write about the benefits of using AI in my chosen field and how it might advance the field-- plus I must also USE AI to complete my essay. Being in a field that values creativity and thinking outside of the bounds of normalcy, I fully disagree with the use of AI since it would actively steal the coolest parts of my future career.

So here is the conundrum: do I bow to the machine for a good grade since I'll be applying to graduate school soon, or tell the truth about how I feel about AI?

My partner and I are eating out at our favorite indian place, and the guy who owns the place who always takes our order knew what we usually order! This is the first time either of us have become regulars at a restaurant, but we are actually never coming back because we are moving back across the country tomorrow. I'm gonna miss their Chana Masala so much

Maybe in the far far far far future if we ever return to the area, we can come back here.

These are from the cycladic culture of the Aegean sea which was most active from 3300 to 1100 bc. They are made of marble and typically depict a feminine form in a standing pose with crossed arms though variations exist. Unfortunately, due to their somewhat modern design they became very popular in the early 1900s and were heavily looted. A large amount of convincing forgeries were also made to supply this booming market. As a whole this has made identifying true cycladic statuary and placing their origin very difficult.

We have very little idea as to what they were used for or meant to be. It's likely they were brightly painted. I really like this Aegean culture and their art. It makes me sad how little we understand them.
