I have a friend who was offered a job at a company he already worked for, in a role that is exactly what he has trained in and has done professional work in, and he didn't get the job because they said his experience didn't fit the application. He has already literally been doing the same work the job was for at the same place under a different but similar title.
This guy (Matt Hennessey) wrote a book called "Visible Hand: A Wealth of Notions on the Miracle of the Market", he is either an expert psy operative or he really believes this shit, it's hard to tell the difference these days.
Saying you still "strongly support" someone who led you to genocide is just blatantly saying you support their genocide. The entire US political establishment is irredeemably guilty.
Why? Because she reported actual facts about a rival of the US?
Over 90% of criminal cases in the US end in a guilty plea bargain. She could have plead guilty to avoid the possible ten years in prison, not because she actual is an official agent of the Chinese government. A mayor of a city like Arcadia can't necessarily afford good enough lawyers to avoid charges.
People can say whatever they want but we don't cater to bootlickers here, they can go fuck themselves. Why should we allow comments from people who want me dead? Their fascist bullshit is allowed basically anywhere else, they can go to reddit.
Thank you to the voters that said the dbzer0 posters are cool, though someone said something like "I never noticibly noticed any user from that comm" and I feel personally affronted
Dang, only "slightly injured".
There should be some kind of punishment for knowingly arresting people you can't charge with a crime. This has happened at numerous protests for years, dozens of people arrested, released without a single charge.
Isn't false imprisonment or abduction a crime? The police use this as a disruption tactic, they don't care about the likelihood of actual charges.
Even as a child I heard that and was like "They hate us because of our freedom? That doesn't make any sense at all, they said we bombed them? That seems more likely the reason"
Small detail some might miss, one of the editorial board signatures is Ted Kaczynski.
Brilliant paragraph:
“What of the tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians killed before this attack?” some may ask. Our response is simply that we aren’t going to engage with that because it would be too hard. We also won’t be addressing Palestinians living in refugee camps without access to clean water, electricity, or housing. Others may ask, “Isn’t it your responsibility to provide context, particularly on thorny issues such as this one?” To that, we merely say: No, shut up. You’re being annoying.

It's not like they threw a rock at the guy, it's just being safe. If you've been sexually assaulted before I'd think you would know that it's much better to be precautious if a situation is suspicious, sexual violence or even just harassment is not uncommon. Having experienced it personally I am happy people look out for each other in such a way.
