Same for all Linuxes, it's a current limitation of the Linux kernel. There's an open issue about it, essentially working out how to use the TPM to sign the memory dump so that secureboot will accept the signature and load it from disk.

An amazing accomplishment for an industry with zero accountability for all the problems it creates and yet at the same time such a small improvement compared to the magnitude of the problems.

First search result on Nitrates:

Studies show that eating vegetables rich in natural nitrates can help reduce your risk of getting some chronic health conditions, whereas eating foods high in added nitrates can cause health risks. Why is that?

Experts think that the antioxidants (such as vitamin C) in vegetables with high nitrates help prevent their breakdown into nitrosamines.

Our exploitation if honeybees for honey and crop pollination in turn pushes out native bee species, which then causes native flora to lose pollinators with which they have a symbiosis. There are bee nests you can buy or even make (they're basically blocks of wood with deep holes of the right size) to help them survive, along with generally changing consumer habits to reduce exploitation.

The Times also elided the fact that the Guardian had already very much outed Crémieux as non-academic blogger Jordan Lasker back in March, whose work included posts that described Africans as having IQs on the same level as the mentally impaired.

Obligate carnivore means they require nutrients that on a natural diet, they can only get from meat. With processed foods, cats can survive on a plant-based diet, if the food has had the appropriate nutrition added (in a way that cats can absorb it)

Edit, it even says exactly that in the article:

While cats are obligate carnivores, complete foods like Unicorn Pate are fortified with all of the vitamins and minerals that cats need to thrive, including taurine

I have to assume he sees any government spending as a problem, with no concept of a government trying to financially support or stimulate the economy.

Edit: except for when it's his own or his buddy's grift, then it's fine

Women lose the ability to have a career as soon as there's a hint of a boyfriend. Employers check. They're expected to become mothers, and dedicate their life to taking care of their children, husband and household, while not really having any say in it.

On eggs:

  • Male and female chicks are birthed in equal amounts, but the male chicks are thrown into a meat grinder as they can't produce eggs.
  • Certifications that chickens are being kept in any kind of conditions.that are kind to the animal are mostly crap. Unless you know and have inspected the farm where your eggs are coming from, assume the chickens are being kept in awful conditions.
  • What happens when the chicken stops producing enough eggs, when they're past their peak? They get slaughtered, of course.

Veganism in general is simply a consequence of having empathy with animals being held by humans. Unless they're treated like pets, they're going to face pain and suffering that simply isn't necessary for human survival. And if it isn't necessary, why inflict pain?
