Thorin, 12, is sweet and patient. Bam Bam (Jean Clawed Van Bamme Bamme), ~1Β½, was feral, showed up 8-10 months ago. Neutered & ear-tipped on the 18th, adjusted well indoors. Thorin fought him once, lost, now gets along. Izzy, our anxious 9-year-old cat, is nice to him. Regret ear tip making him asymmetrical, but he's cute and opening up. ππ€

Squirrels have babies twice a year, and here is baby #1 of round 2.
We got 5 more this morning too. Some of the new ones were dreaming, which I hadn't gotten to see before, and they were doing all kinds of cute mouth twitches and little kicks.
So tiny and cute!

from Cats ([email protected])
They didn't like the thunder today when I got home. Now it's stopped, rain let up, settling in for a cozy night. Many strays here. Saw Boots staring, shaking his little white boot, signaling he was hurt. Heartbroken, I thought of my girls and brought him a whole can of food. Plenty of safe spots here, so hope he finds a place to rest and heal. ππ€

πΌοΈ cool moth at the gas station (direct link), posted in The Bug Menagerie (π169 π0)
On a ~10 hour road trip coming back from Vacation we stopped for gas and to take a leak when I saw this fella.
It's only 2 or 3 hours from where I live but I've never seen one before! I believe it is this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_leopard_moth
