Nah give him to some of the native tribes who've had their areas of the Amazon cut down, grab popcorn then enjoy the show.

They really cant, they're good for boilerplate but thats about it. Every example of a AI heavy code base I've seen has been poorly optimised security hole ridden garbage.

Based FOSS but id take the claims of coding ability with a entire salt mine, LLMs simply arent all that great in general at coding no matter what tech Bros try to tell you.

Ngl Taiwan is fucked no matter how you split it, the silicon shield wont hold as the cutting edge isnt a far cry from the last few nodes these days and capacity is ramping to across the world for high end nodes. It would cause quite a bit of distruption but you'd be talking 2-6 years rather than multiple decades as it once was.

And frankly Chinese military hardware seems to be up to snuff as opposed to what we've seen from Russia (see export varients murking a rafale in the hands of the Pakistanis).

The J20 & J35 are also very potent air platforms that can likely go toe to toe with western stealth aircraft and China has sorted their stealthy engine issue as well so they'll almost certainly be competitve in BVR engagements.

America likely could try and tango in the straits and local seas however I simply do not see a carrier group faring that well against a extremely heavy land launched missile barrage along with the fact that the American public psyche simply isnt up to handle the losses you'd see in such a conflict.

Breaking the containment island chains is important enough to China that they will be happy to very heavily commit in a way that no weatern power will be able to.

NATO doctrine also relies heavily on air supremacy which frankly I don't see them being able to maintain in such a conflict especially considering China would be operating in their own back yard.

China has also been building up their naval capacity for exactly this conflict for over a decade now (you'll often see quite a bit of cope over vessels being for coastal operations and not blue sea operations which is a bit of a... no shit? Thats the point?). Generally said vessels are quite capable and also significantly newer than the bulk of the US Navy & although we've yet to see the PLAN actually be involved in signficiant operations they're highly trained and war gamed.

The actual Taiwanese military as well is pretty anemic, has had severe sustained recruitment issues for years now and isnt exactly operating the creme de la creme of assets let alone in the quantities to fend off a attack.

Taiwans ""MAD"" plan of thunder running the three gorges dam also seems like a pipedream, there is zero chance that area wont be absolutely saturated with modern SAMs.

China can also just grind global trade to a halt through messing with the current shipping channels as a bargaining tactic to prevent external intervention.

TLDR: Taiwan wont exist in a few decades, there is no conceivable way China can be fended off from taking it.

Had this issue for years now, meds nuke hunger and I'm terrible at eating breakfast by the time I get back from work they've worn off and I have zero motivation. Fallen into the diet of nearly always having ramen, energy drinks and a beer here and then with a muti vitami.

Tried planners, can never get them to work my job having constantly changing shift patterns probs contributes to that, even tried one of those meal recipe box thingies stopped due to it A: being expensive and B: still didn't really work.

I'm not even a bad cook either just cannot force my brain to bloody do it.

No it isnt, its about the production precursors being literal poison for anything they get into with no chance of breaking down. Its a unusually harmful and persistive compound.

Introducing: Arcadia (lemmy.dbzer0.com)
submitted 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

(Two month old post from the subreddit but whatever as its notable)

Hello all !

I am pleased to introduce Arcadia ! This is a torrent site framework (similar to Gazelle, Unit3d, and others) that aims at supporting any kind of content, with a very high level of organization.

Disclaimer: Arcadia is still in early development stages.

The main goals are :

content-agnostic and flexibility to properly organize anything
rust backend for high performance and low resource usage
client-side rendering for lower load on the server
image and icons first, for a nice user experience
beautiful user interface
good documentation

What has been implemented so far (not fully finished, but usable) :

user auth (invite, register, login)
master groups/title groups/edition groups/torrents creation
torrent requests
series
authors

Technology choices :

rust backend, actix web server
vuejs frontend, primevue component library
postgresql db, sqlx rust driver

A tracker (similar to ocelot, unit3d-announce, etc.) won't be developed. The goal is to use an existing one and chain it with Arcadia's backend. Very good, flexible and performant trackers already exist.

If you read this far, you are probably interested ! So here are

[screenshots](https://github.com/Arcadia-Solutions/arcadia/?tab=readme-ov-file#arcadia)
[discord server](https://discord.gg/amYWVk7pS3)
[github repositories](https://github.com/orgs/Arcadia-Solutions/repositories)

I am still looking for devs who would like to join the forces ! If you would like to help, hop on the discord server and let's chat !

Note: I am not planning on hosting anything, this is only a project to write some interface

Just making a pinned post with some extra information this will likely be edited over time.

First off sorry for leaving this place rotting for a while, life got in the way & I lacked the funds for some hardware for automation I want to run here.

Whats the plan?

Im currently writing a bot which will be able to parse the r/Opensignups subreddit to automate reposting stuff from there to [email protected] , ETA on that is about a week as my Python is (very) rusty.

I should also now have time to begin writing a wiki section on PTs, hopefully over time this can become a comprehensive resource for newbies to the tracker scene.

The plan is for this community to become a fairly decent news source for the goings on in the PT world, for the time being much of the (actually noteworthy) news will be posted from reddit and hopefully will also have some user generated stories, advice and information from the community here on lemmy in due course!

Resource list.

https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Private_trackers 4Chan affiliated wiki, I’m aware of the sites reputation but this is a good resource especially if you’re quite new.

https://inviteroute.github.io/sheet/ https://inviteroute.github.io/graph Two GitHub sites that give a clear idea of how you can progress through the more well known PTs.

https://files.catbox.moe/mifq21.png Translated comprehensive Chinese language graph on PTs including more niche ones.

https://hdvinnie.github.io/Private-Trackers-Spreadsheet/ comprehensive list of decent PTs with information about each one.

https://invite.icu/ Website to calculate how long it’ll take to get into the more elite PTs

Further tips.

I cannot state this enough use a separate email for PT activities and never share passwords between them, there have been occasions wherein a tracker has been compromised or a operator has gone rogue and has used account details to do malicious things.

If you are in Germany use a VPN or risk very nasty fines, anyone here will likely already know what im talking about but if you’re new and live within Germany do not torrent without a VPN, even PTs may pose a risk.

Check out the megathread and various resources on the main [email protected] community, absolutely fantastic resource.

Milkie.cc invite thread.

Milkie.cc is a low tier "semi private" tracker that has no ratio (so no worries of getting banned over a minor mistake) that has the unusual feature of allowing all members to give out as many invites as they wish (hence the semi private status).

This in my opinion makes it perfect for beginners looking to get into PTs via providing a PT-like experience with none of the pressures nor funny rules PTs often have.

Please note however that Milkie ratios often aren't taken as proof during applications on other trackers however this isn't universal, I have seen a handful of trackers accept proof of seeding & ratio from places like Milkie provided the stats are good and you consistently seed.

Milkie generally doesn't have very good retention (old torrents that are seeded for a long time) however it nearly always has the latest shows and films along with more well known titles decently seeded.

Get a invite.

This is the only thread where you are permitted to explicitly ask for a invite and only for Milkie.cc.

Having said that want a invite to Milkie? leave a reply to this thread and I'll reply with a couple of invites at a time.

INVITES EXPIRE IN 24 HOURS, MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR DMS.

I saw the post asking if this place was dead, again my fault for neglecting it but I really would like to encourage people to post applications & open sign ups here of their own accord wherever you might see them. The only exception to this is do not post invites from class restricted areas of trackers, you will be warned on the first offence and then banned on the second.

While the subreddit changed its rules to prohibit new trackers I'd genuinely love to still see them here, every tracker started small and decapitating a well known recruitment area for them seemed short sighted to say the least.
