I don't think this is about defense at all. I think it's about his preoccupation with Canada. He has offered it to Canada for free if they'll become the 51st state or to buy in. He will claim he needs Canada's participation as their land mass gives them lots of time to react. When Canada refuses to become part of the program, he will claim it's a national defense priority and push to invade Canada.

A morning. A friend of my son's had a hearing and sentencing. His family wouldn't go. He called me and asked if I would. I just sat there. He thanked me afterward. He just wanted a familiar face there.
