Of all the stupid money pit projects they could drop and focus on Firefox and Thunderbird.... they drop privacy advocacy. Might as well drop the browser engine and MDN, to ensure Mozilla loses ALL positive impact on the world, yeah?????
These publishers' names are:
Hachette,
Penguin Random House,
Wiley,
and
HarperCollins
Time to never buy any book from them again. I'm moving on to pirating ebooks and audiobooks. Sorry JRR and Christopher Tolkien (may you rest in peace), but I'm not buying any more of your books because they were published by HarperCollins. And I'm also not buying a lot of other books too.
Yeah, I was looking at it today actually.
Happy Birthday, Linux.
Unless you're selling the software or licenses to it, I don't really see a reason not to go copyleft. I mean, think about it. If someone tries to make your thing but better, they have to release the modifications, so you can grab it for yourself and suddenly you're at the same level. If they piggyback off your work, you can piggyback off theirs, and you have the advantage of being the original. Correct me if I'm wrong.
As others have said, discrete math is one of the obvious missing pieces. My uni also has C as the first language students learn as a part of their degree, and follows up with Java and Haskell to teach students about OOP and FP as paradigms. It's useful to have something like C so students can learn about memory management. I'm also not seeing anything on Networking and Cyber Security (aside from Cryptography), which my university also taught.
Great. Now Linux Mint will have to start providing their own kernels too, as they were following Ubuntu's way of choosing a kernel version.
Will this be the final nail in the coffin that will make LMDE the main edition, or will they just follow what Canonical is doing in that case? I'm genuinely curious for their response.
When I started living by myself a while back, I realised how much random housework was being done by my parents. There's the obvious ones like cooking, shopping and doing the dishes. But there's also meal planning, cleaning, buying non-obvious essentials like toiletries, and more, which I wouldn't normally think about.
And it was at 2.92% in Oct 23, so that's approx 38% increase in 4 months! If we keep this level of growth for a year, we're looking at 7.67% marketshare in a year from now!
I firmly believe this will be the year of the Wayland Desktop. Everything is shaping up to finishing off the transition for regular people and further stabilisation of the Wayland desktop space.
I'm a simple man: I see Firefox, I upvote
I like the idea of FreeBSD, but I can't see the point of giving up on my Linux conveniences to switch over to it. What advantages does it provide, and are they worth the switch, considering I'm losing a lot of software, as well as any semblance of gaming?

It's not every day that you see actually useful applications of AI, but this might be one.
