It doesn't work for the West because it relies on hiding behind CDNs like Cloudflare. If the West prohibits VPNs the governments in the West will cooperate with them.

Russia could also catch them by tracking known VPN users. The unpopular CDN urls to which they connect are very likely the VPNs. They can block those connections and observe the reaction. Russia could also just buy the VPN service and know the target servers. Like adblockers for youtube, they accept escapes for the technological advanced to prevent them from taking other actions.

It's like upgrading the PC but keeping Windows installed.

Why does it work? People who like people should have a much richer social network that should have a much bigger draw. They should be able to tell society what to do. Of course propaganda prevents that, but why does it work? An ad shouldn't cancel the opinion of somebody whom I trust.

From where does the government get the people who make the right decisions? The USSR had spent all their resources on weapons and didn't develop consumer products enough. They had industrial policy in its purest form.

Welche Blutwerte sind denn schlecht? Mach doch noch einen Post mit den Werten. Mich würde interessieren, ob dann die Vorschläge präziser sind.

the individuals responsible for hiring the twins are no longer employed by Opexus.”

But the problem was not the hiring but the firing process.

Now apply that to politics.

People should ask why it makes them uncomfortable.

What is weird?

If the EU hasn't taken action by now to innovate, how can we trust it to make the right decisions in the future?

Die Verordnung ist von 2007 und Toiletten gibt es noch viel länger. Das aktuelle Verfahren sagt nicht viel aus, aber die Länge der bestehenden Regelung schon.

In the post about European semiconductor decline my comment about average citizens having to invest more, was massively downvoted. Since nobody will read my reply there, here is the quote from the Draghi report that shows why more private investment is necessary.

Unless you plan a revolution, please take a moment to read the quote.

Part B, page 281

The failure of high EU savings to flow into productive investments in Europe comes down to less efficient financial intermediation. The persistent shortfall of investment vis-à-vis the US has occurred even though EU households save more than their peers in the US. In 2022, EU household savings were EUR 1,390 billion compared with EUR 840 billion in the US, reflecting the lower savings rate of US households, which is around a quarter of the EU level04. However, despite their higher savings, EU households have considerably lower wealth than their US counterparts, largely because of the lower returns they receive from financial markets on their asset holdings.
