The backend is fully managed. They will run updates for you as well. If you install something funky or delete data or delete users by accident, they have backups for you.

I’m not saying they should self host it. Their take that “some Nextcloud bad because of vibes” is irrational.

Why not? This is just a ~~bullshit~~ baseless, emotional take instead of a rational, logical decision. Get a Nextcloud instance on Hetzner for 5 bucks a month and you’ll be happy. If you want to continue basing on “vibes”, just stay with google.

No mentions of MKBHD. Guy had decent reviews of tech stuff, but decides to be a corporative, carfluencing, reckless driving sellout.

This comment thread is driving me nuts. Don’t repair the new thing you just bought, just send it back and get a new one.

Based on this, I recommend electroboom.

Shits reliable. I have automated 3-2-1 backups. PSU supports power to router and lab, and due to NUC tech, it stays on for 5+ hours on battery. Anything that could be automated is automated.

Dream Theater/Animals as Leaders/Devin Townsend. I think it was 2024? Other than that, Pink Floyd’s Pulse.

I’m sure I could also allow a child to do the sysadmin tasks that I do, but that would be an extremely stupid thing to do. Our systems can’t break. AI breaks shit constantly.

Isn’t Slate owned by Bezos anyway?

Lives have been lost in this war, but you’d be crazy to think that Emacs is not the superior editor. (Half /s)

Hey guys, I’ve got an issue where it’s driving me absolutely bonkers. I got a fitgirl Sims 4 repack, and it crashes without showing anything in the logs by itself. I install the game using wine, and launch it via Steam using all sorts of proton. Now I’ve downloaded the latest version, and the installer won’t even budge past 0.0%. Questions:

  1. Any way to get a detailed log, in order to understand what is going wrong?

  2. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hardware: NVIDIA 2060, Ryzen 5600x. I tried it on PopOS first, and then tried it on nobara just in case the issue was because of an old kernel. It didn’t help.

Thank you!
