Sorry, I was just trying to be funny. But it’s not really the time.

Amazon is evil but I am not going to get around to sawing the litterboxes down… I managed to find some with a really low side entrance made for senior cats. Fingers crossed that helps.

We’re going back to the vet soon to get a urine draw to figure out whether these antibiotics are working.

There’s a joke in there about opinions… 🧻

2 glasses of warm milk later

Edit: You know I should have just harvested the pumpkins while they were various colours in order to paint a picture of them. Sleepless thoughts.

Nah, it involves experiencing sexism and harassment. So not unless I can turn my inbox off to prevent random messages from aggrieved incel arseholes.

I’m having a bad day and am tempted to rant but it’s probably not a good idea -_-

All I can say is I’m getting increasingly sick of other people

[-] [email protected] 2 points 20 hours ago

I still haven’t dealt with the ones I saw… they don’t seem to be around anymore though so maybe the cat ate them

I have been required to compensate her in cracker crumbs (also bad for her teeth)

But she’s using the hot water bottle I made for her tummy

Poor Melbcat seems fussy and is a bit ‘backed up’, still seems painy, and still cries after peeing :( She also seems unusually hungry for wet food.

I’ve been giving her osmolax + extra water in her wet food and am taking her back to the vet Monday. The uti might not be resolving even on the hardcore antibiotics or she might need to have her thyroid checked again. Or perhaps it’s her kidneys worsening 😣

I also haven’t been trying to apply the dental gel because I don’t want to upset her.

Edit: I’ve given her a spot on treatment and used the oral gel. I am a mean abusive mumther

I looked it up, this says it should last a few days tops and see a dr if it persists…

If you get brushed off and it’s ongoing definitely get a second opinion. It could be an underlying malabsorption issue

Rug hanger/tapestry hanger

Though these would make screw holes in the wall

I’ve had my flu shot. Covid shot is next on the agenda

An advocacy service over the phone for people living with opioid dependence.

Things are really bad in my area and Victoria is the only Australian state that still charges for methadone. There’s not much I can do individually but share resources and hope it helps someone.

Prices are always rising.

What have you found good for saving a dollar?

Edit: The rules are changing for permanent residents - see article.

Temporary residents are allowed to keep using their overseas license.

Edit: Sorry, I was unclear on the message of the article and accidentally posted a misleading headline.

TL;DR: There are changes for permanent residents but temporary residents can keep using their overseas licenses.

Just as a reminder if you’re struggling.

Services like these can help with rent, financial advice, or no interest loans. Please avoid any predatory payday loan companies.

Edit: For the no interest loans I was thinking of Good Shepherd https://goodshep.org.au/services/nils/

This looks cheap and filling for the colder months. It was originally a poverty food so I’d just use whatever cheese is cheap or available.
