I want to like more anime games but most of them never left the PS2 era.
What was your setup for this experiment?
I'm wondering if kolboldcpp + sillytavern would be suitable here.
I would need to watch it again, but I did enjoy the characters. It had a monogatari vibe to it too.

I tried the demo of this game recently. It's hilariously bleak, point and click adventure game.
Back in the day, you could do that in a flash presentation. (Sorta)
But without using something more powerful like that I wouldn't expect it to be possible.
