Good stuff, as always. I couldn't help laughing when things got real on the train! I also really enjoyed that scene at the end with the sketchy dude grabbing their pool float for them. I'm curious to see what happens next, so maybe I'll read the manga.

Oh damn I forgot the last episode is today. I’ll watch it tonight and will come back for my thoughts.

Edit: Ok I watched it. Great ending for the season. I hate when things end on a cliffhanger, and even though S2 has already been confirmed, it’s great that they made S1 somewhat satisfying with how Yoshiki was finally able to let out all the bottled up emotions.

I still don’t get glasses guy though. He came in, beheaded Hikaru, refused to elaborate, and leaves. And now he doesn’t want to chase the Nonuki anymore. Is it because he thinks it being Hikaru makes it less of a threat?

One thing I like about suspense series like this is all the conspiracy theories you can come up with.

Here's another easy theory:

The founding members - or at least, the old members - of the shady corporation that sunglasses dude belongs were responsible for the mass killings and dismemberments back in the days.

After that period of bloodshed, the organisation survived instead of getting dissolved, but now has a fresh face: a modern company that "investigates" the occult.
