The whole article is quite funny, especially the lists of most used tankie words, or the branding of foreignpolicy as a left-wing news source.

I don’t know how anyone can say “tankie” with a straight face, let alone publish a research paper about the “tankie” phenomenon.

I can't believe they did this and then, by the looks of it, crowd-sourced a definition from reactionary corners of the fediverse. They're not giving western higher education a good name, are they?
