There's some unrest because the Open Collective Foundation is stopping.

Don't worry, we use Open Collective Europe as a donations platform, they're going nowhere.

I guess the cross server implementation would be difficult. If you buy credits on lemm.ee, and gild a lemmy.ml user, who honors it to... not show you ads?

I guess it's mostly just a decoration thing to support the comment/post and the server. Still, which server displays which awards could get thorny.
