As a noggie that has been a lot to TX: Yup. And most of it not in a good way.

Disclaimer: Could be the case for the rest of US too. Apart from being stuck overnight in the worlds biggest truck stop (new jersey), I've only been to texas or in the neighborhood thereof

It is, I lived there (sadly) for 26 years, before being moved to the absolute paradise that is Oklahoma.../s but, I'm literally moving to California today actually and I can't wait. It has its problems too but I'll take those over where I've been any day.
