I believe the "original" in this video is actually the open source remake OpenLara

Maybe because ps1 or old crt monitor? I remember thief deadly shadows also looking eh but it actually looks pretty decent.

Older games actually looked better on CRT screens. They were designed specifically for them.

If you had it on console, it was either a lot wobblier, or a lot pinchier.
