New to the hobby, feel like I need character art
(hexbear.net)
Tabletop Rpg posts, content, and recruitment posts.
Recruitment posts should contain what system is being played, CW for any adult/serious themes players need to be aware of and whether a game is beginner friendly.
An obvious reminder of no racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia.
Emphasis on small independent rpgs like the ones in the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas but not against dnd stuff.
a good character description and a personality to act out have done more to convey who my characters were than any drawings, is my exp
Personality particularly, all of my friend's/players PCs I've found memorable are the ones with clear and specific personality traits, and are descriptive about their body language and behaviours. Mauve the wine-aunt plant fairy or Squidunk the toad loving gnome were infinitely more memorable than the Sorlock who thought he was mysterious and his girlfriend who entire character was "sorlock's love interest". I legit can't remember their names and that campaign ended two months ago, compared to about 5 years for Squidunk and 8 or 9 for Mauve.
