I was un a dance club this weekend, and there was a guy that I assume was a metalhead, long hair, beard, metal band t-shirt and a really cool kilt banging on tge dance floor. Pretty cool party, there was also a girl in a wedding dress and a white medieval doctor mask.
Irish dancing lives on though! It's cool as hell and pretty popular among men as well

This is exactly right. The concept of 'whiteness' flattens the ethnicity of millions of people. I'm not a 'traditionalist' in any sense, but I do find value in some celebration of the ethnic culture of my immigrant forebears. I think this is a good path to deprogramming 'white' people of their 'whiteness', at least in multiethnic settler states like the US.
I know... I have NOTHING of whatever my ancestry used to have. What am I supposed to be proud of? War? Fast food? Privatization?

Actually, many CHUDs (ESPECIALLY WASPs) would say yes. Even as a kid it bothered me just how cultureless the US felt.
