Collaborating with a small group of family and friends where we can use a shared spreadsheet to plan a camping trip for example

Could LibreOffice work? It seems it's possible to share spreadsheets through the Calc application:

It seems to be compatible with other applications, such as mobile Collabora Office:

From what I read, NextCloud's office suite is based on LibreOffice/Collabora Office, so @[email protected]'s suggestion is probably your best solution if you can setup a server to share with your family and friends.
