It's probably the bitterness. Have you tried a light roast made cold brew style? Without heat there aren't as many tannins

    why try something i don't like?

    i also dislike the smell, and coffee flavor in desserts.

    It's like someone telling me they don't like cocoa. I flat out do not believe you for a variety of reasons. I am denying your lived experience rn

    nobody reasonable drinks just cocoa in hot water like freaks do with black coffee.

    This just reminds me of the one good joke in the entire Assassin's Creed series, from AC2

    Other Guy: would you like some coffee?

    Ezio: what's coffee?

    Other guy: it's a drink we got from Turkish traders. Try some

    Ezio: hmmmm it's a little bitter. Have you considered adding sugar? Or milk?

    Other guy, offended: I guess it's an acquired taste
