Confession: I was one of those "being attracted to trans woman is gay, but there's nothing wrong with that" people until I watched Contrapoints' video about the topic (the one with the slur in the title). I was completely hung up on some kind of "biologically, humans are attracted to those they can procreate with" rationale that I didn't see the extremely obvious thing that proves the opposite until this youtube radlib breadtuber pointed it out to me: Gay men aren't attracted to trans women.
Actual, card-carrying homosexuals don't wanna fuck trans girls, they wanna fuck men. That was the piece I was missing that made it click for me, it was also what really cemented "trans women are women" into my brain and what that actually means. I know Contrapoints has posted a lot of cringe over the years, but she really did a lot to help me understand gender, gender identity and sexuality as concepts.
