Now I'm left hoping for a silent button upgrade ๐Ÿ‘€

Yeah, I can put up with mushy buttons if it lets me play in bed while my wife's asleep.

My partner regularly asks when they'll add a "girlfriend mode" for this reason. She likes having me in bed next to her, but doesn't love the clicks.

I have some games where I've additionally bound the face buttons to light touches on the trackpad. Joysticks+triggers are usually quiet enough already, so being able to lightly touch the trackpad for quiet inputs makes it pretty quiet.

Obviously, it can't be a real fast paced game, but it's a decent compromise for games that are slower paced.

Throw some silicone joystick protector rings on your sticks if you haven't. Makes the joystick almost completely silent even when I slam them against the shell, and as long as they're seated right and clean they'll still slide smoothly against the shell. Just make sure to run through the calibration script so you still have full joystick range after adding them
