I only know two of the things on here
one of them is an allegory for the environmental destruction wrought by the petroleum industry
and the other is Dark Souls, which is so open to interpretation it's practically a free space
Tbh Dark Souls overarching plot is kinda leftist.
The whole premise is that the ruling class has hoarded what gave them power for thousands of years and manipulate the lower class to literally immolate themselves to keep the system running. Across the series the (arguably) good endings all have something to do with trying end the system.
I don't think there are true good endings in Dark Souls. It's one of those "everything is was and always will be shit all of the time" type dark fantasy worlds. I guess the "painting" ending in DS3 is kinda good tho?
It's not really a wonder very online fascist weirdos are attracted to the series.
Yeah fantasy always attracts weirdos, regardless of its messaging.
