Any data on how much RAM speed (MT/s) will affect AMD board performance? (alien.top)

I'm upgrading to the 7640u main board and need to buy some DDR5 sticks to go with it. The general wisdom seems to be that it's important to get RAM with the maximum supported speed of 5600MT/s to maximize the CPU/iGPU performance. However, I can't seem to find any numbers on how much of a difference it makes.

The cheapest 4800MT/s set is ~40% cheaper than cheapest 5600MT/s set I can buy right now, so if it's only a few percent, I'd rather save the cash.

The only folks I’ve seen post on here that are running speeds other than 5600MT/s are also reporting RAM issues.

That doesn’t mean it can’t work, but I’d gladly pay the 40% premium to have a supported experience. If you do have issues you could end up buying or at least finding 5600MT/s memory before an RMA is accepted, if it comes to that.

If you’re buying 32gb the difference is around an Andrew Jackson. That’s a lot of risk for $20. Choose wisely!
