not sure how it compares to SoundCloud, but it is certainly some sort of successor to GrooveShark

Man I miss Grooveshark. Used to be awesome! Forgot what happened to it?
It got taken down because there was so much licensed music uploaded to it, I believe

Federation, probably harder for music labels to go after so many instances?
I think the opposite. Most of the instances are closed/invite only, so there's no way to know if there's any improperly licensed music there. π€·ββοΈ

That's a name I haven't heard in forever! They built so much hype around Grooveshark and I dont remember it ever even working.
